Fantastic vehicle. The 3.0T gives you as much power as you need at any time. Very nimble darting ahead of trucks or slower vehicles. The standard shifting mode allows really great gas mileage - as much as 24 mpg with mostly suburban and highway driving while still being aggressive. Easily hits 26 mpg if you take it easy. The cabin is beautiful and extremely comfortable. Despite 18 inch wheels, the ride is soft and compliant. The quattro allows you to make turns at high speed in wet conditions. Have owned Lexus and BMW previously. This compares very favorably. The price was reasonable compared to competitors. A great daily driver. Only complaint - driving this car makes you crave something faster like an RS4 or M5 - but on the other hand, you do need something that gets decent gas mileage and is good for everyday use - otherwise we would all buy corvettes or 911's. Can also easily fit 3 kids in the back in comfort. Trunk is huge. Very, very practical car. As far as reliability, we'll see. I bought the 4 year service package. bumper to bumper care. I should easily be covered for 4-5 years for nearly everything and I paid about 55K with prestige package, taxes, and service. I sincerely doubt the quoted 5 year ownership cost on Yahoo cars of about 71+K. I will need about $800 worth of tires in the first 5 years and perhaps a new battery as I live in Texas. That should be it. I had similar 5 year expenses on my prior Lexus, BMW and VW TDI.
