- great looks;stunning interior
- wiper system insensitive; poor visibility w/fixed headrests; outside air only w/airconditioning on
Poor resale value after first year. Loose $30K+ from sticker on trade in. Seat ventilation needs to be stronger. Some seat discomfort on long rides even with massage option. Need to automate headrests for better visibility; need to allow fresh air option without airconditioning being on. Water wets and streaks the inside of side windows when lowered and raised after car wash. Awkward control for right side view mirror lowering for ground visibility-should be more automatic when in reverse. Annoying alarms for lights and seatbelts. Seatbelt alarm should only sound when out of PARK, not just when engine is ON. Same alarm sounds for lights, no parking break, and seatbelt. Need to differentiate so attention is gained....read morehide

- Luxurious interior, classic styling, sporty performance
- Rear seats don't fold down
The 2006 Audi A8 is an astonishing motorcar. With classic looks a luxurious interior, and superior performance, it is the choice of 'gearheads' in the know. One no longer needs to look at Mercedes or BMW to get the best German sedan.

- A fine tuned racing machine, MMI is easy and intuitive to use
- low gas mileage
The Audi A8 is not for the weak at heart..It nicely blends performance, luxury and performance.

- Loaded with features and technology, top fit/finish, super comfortable.
- sucks up gas
Having carefully considered the obvious alternatives like the BMW 7 series, Lexus LS and Mercedes S class, this was an easy choice. I think the styling is superior to all of the others, the electronics are far more workable and the content for value was clearly better than the other German choices. While the Lexus has reliability going for it, it does lack a certain "je ne sais crois".
While Mercedes will raise the bar with its upcoming S class redo, their ability to offer a reliable alternative remains up in the air....read morehide

- Everything excellent
- extras, take a little time to learn less legroom than the L(but still good)
I've Audi's for years, my last prior to this being the 2002L, while I enjoyed my 02L,there were 5 or 6 small flaws. A8 06 is as good as it gets
