we got our brand new Q5 in january 2012, but last saturday (march 2012) it's suddenly totally dead when we was driving normally on the road!!!!
Fortunately we were not in highway otherwise it would kill us!!!!I'm not kidding. Be careful of this car!!0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- Q5 handles the road better then any other in its class.
- Cons
- Only 1 con....Blind spot for shorter people.
Purchased As New
I looked for months before I went to the Audi Q5. Nothing compares to the comfort, fun, performance or style. Gas mileage gets about 400miles/1 tank of gas. I had a few incounters with a blind spot while making turns. Im only 5'3" and the blind spot is the lower sides of front windshield area from the dash to the side mirrors. Other then that... love the car....read morehide

- Pros
- Ride, handling, fit and finish
- Cons
- Really seats 4 -rear center seat for small children only

When I went shopping for my Q5, I first checked out a Lexus, which was way too soft and cushy for my liking. Then I tried the Cayenne, which was too stiff a ride for my tastes. The Q5 was the Goldilocks; comfortable, while retaining a nice, tight feel and confidence in the curves. It's extremely comfortable up front and the rear can handle two adults, but I wouldn't ask anyone to sit in the rear center ( I once had to and hated it). The rear cargo area holds a lot of stuff and I like that the rear shelf pops on and off fairly easily. I don't like that it doesn't easily fit in the cargo space when you take it out though. I have 19" tires and drive in city traffic and the Q5 just soaks up the bumps with aplomb -it's a real pleasure to drive. It is heavy, so it can be a bit slow off the mark, but putting in sport mode does help with that. So far, I love it -only complaint is that Audi is only now offering ventilated seats on it -and only on the prestige model which is a big jump in price....read morehide

I love what they did with Q5.
I bought this car in Nov/2011 and its 2012, I had to go to Arizona to get it, because at the local dealers they didn't have that many selections and the prices were to hight.
I used to have A4, but when I heard the are coming out with Q5 2.0 I got to have it.
They said they might come out with hybrid vehicle in 2012/2013 but Im not sure about that, I rather get a biodiesel like A3....read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

- if the rear curve can be flat a little bit.

I have been a fan of Japanese cars. This is my first time to buy an European car. I like the appearance very much. and think that it would be better if the rear curve can be flat a little bit.

This is my first Audi and I love it. Very smooth driving in the city and on the highway. Lots of power. The seating is very comfortable und easy to adjust. Love the large sunroof. The audio system is definitely german enginering and after you get used to it, much easier to operate than some of the american made systems. Tons of space inside. All in all I'm hooked....read morehide

Speaking as an owner and not someone who is rating because they -looked-.
We tire kicked everything in its class to include other makes (Mercedes, BMW, Mazda, Volvo). The Audi has a style that drawed us to it. Ordered and took delivery of our 2011 in March of this year and have just rolled over 4k miles. Went with the Quattro 2.0, Premium Plus package. Its been a fun car for our family of three and two small terriers. Gas mileage around town is good as long as you keep your foot out of it.
As far as room goes, I didn't buy it to sit in the back - I bought it to drive so my concern is not so much about the rear passengers. However there are little features such as the hump in the floorboard that the BMW X5 doesn't have. Little things like that could go a long ways but its not enough to worry us. Seems the inflateable spare tire is a trend as well though its not something we particularly like.
The cockpit is roomy enough for me considering my work car is a Golf and I'm 6' tall. Plenty of gadgets to keep you happy without dropping the extra cheddar on the Prestige package. The full length moon/sun roof with retractable webbing is pretty cool. Ride is fine for us. We didn't want a Caddy that absorbs all the bumps, but don't want to feel every little crack in the road. Its a crossover and you'll feel a tad. Handling is nothing to complain about.
The 2.0 engine offers good power and after test driving the 3.2 engine, couldn't justify the need for a mere 60hp more plus the extra cash as well. Would like to see a little more from the V6 to persuade me to get off the wallet.
Overall, we use it as our family car (two adults/eight year old) and it serves us quite well. Styling is fantastic. Plus... its an Audi-!...read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- Good looking, good handling, fair MPG
- Cons
- multimedia system, navigator, control buttons in steering wheel
Purchased As New
I traded my q5 with 2005 BMW x3 about 3 weeks. At all I should say that I love this car. It's more powerful and more comfortable than X3. I believe the car handling on wet road is not as good as x3 or at least I felt more safe with x3. I expected to have a touch screen LCD for navigation and multimedia control but there are some buttons near the gear that you should get used to them. even you can't have a full control of your navigator multimedia through buttons in steering wheel and at all I believe working with them is so distributive. there is a voice command system also but not doing everything and is not smart enough. I feel the interior is made by better quality materials than X3.
I didn't like 2.0L model because it was not responding fast but you get the better millage for gas. The 3.2L model is very powerful and comparable with BMW.
Anyway I love this car and I recommend it.

We love everything about this car. It is fun to drive, it handles beautifully, the appointments are very nice, love the large sun roof, has plenty of room when you need it. The back seats fold down so easily with the release pulls.

I love this car. So far so good in almost all aspects (2,000 miles). Littel bit worried with potential reliability issues heard from other Audi owners in NA, I guess time will tell...
