Purchased As New
Bought new in Germany with U.S. spec's had some problems ordering certain items that sales said not possible but after purchase had running boards added with towing package and no problem mounting. High end Continental Tires wore out with only 21000 miles went to a off brand and found alot of road noise. Love the vehicle and constantly getting compliments on it. enjoy the highway drive very much both in U.S. and Germany...read morehide

- A great car to drive, even full of kids which mine is. Great fun.
- Ridiculously complex electricals and poor resistance to wear and tear on essentials.
Purchased As New
Our Q7 is much loved - so much fun to drive and the kids (4 under 10) love it - but it is becoming a mainenance headache. Four new tyres at 14,500 miles were part paid for by Audi. Issue with parking brake has been an irritation for 2 years but has just been resolved under warranty. Automatic tailgate - everyone needs instruction on this. If you hold the button down to long you reset the height. All nonsense, they need to make it simper. Blue tooth issues again resolved under warranty (GB200 or 300). Parking sensors replaced (GB1,100.00) and - thank god - resolved under warranty. Now at 16,500 miles new brake pads front and rear. I do not drive on the brakes - I was taught by a guy who asked me at 17 to try the novelty of decelarating and I've practised it ever since. Front & rear brake pads have cost me GB600 today including tax. Front fog light was cracked - no idea how - and a new one is 60. I got off the labour charge because they had to remove the bumper etc to fit the new parking sensors which was a warranty job. Car is 3 years old - does very little mileage for its age. Have a Porsche 911 turbo that is costing me less to run and is doing similar mileage. It's such a shame because this is truly a great car to drive but enough is enough. It will have to be go. Suggestions for alternative for family of 6 (no MPVs please) gratefully accepted....read morehide

- Great Looks and comfortable
- Awful reliability, 3.6 is very slow. Expensive to maintain...EVEN IF LEASED!
After 2000 miles, the wiper blades broke during a rain storm on I-95 and the back seat (second row) wouldn't lock into place. After 6500 miles the power lift gate malfunctioned. After 17000 miles, expect to buy new tires... they'll cost around $1300. After 25000 miles, the sunroof started leaking, between when I made the appointment and brought it in to Audi, MOLD started to grow under the drivers side seat. At 30000 miles, you'll need to replace the break pads and rotors. They will set you back $1700. At least most of the time, the dealership gave me a Toyota Camry as a loaner, at least that was never going to give me any issues. This is my second lemon Audi and will be my LAST Audi. It's amusing that this company even compares themselves to BMW, Lexus or Mercedes. Audi doesn't have a clue about service. They used to cover pads and rotors for models 2005 and older while a car was under a lease. Then they switched to not covering pads and rotors. Now they're switching back for the 2010 models. I'm telling everyone I know to stay away from these glorified Volkswagons, they may look great, but you'll want to carry the car back to the dealership halfway through your lease....read morehide

- Excellent car... the most comfortable, best handling, absolutely awesome technology. LOVE THIS CAR
- Cup holders too close to MMI... expensive to repair simple drink spillage
Audi has made a fantastic car. This has an uniquely sporty
look with all the room you'd ever need. The interior is
beautiful and user friendly... all except for the cup holders
next to the MMI... of which cannot handle any moisture.
It handles like dream, with more get up and go than you'd
ever need. I knew the miles per gallon wasn't rated high,
but found it to be better than expected.
I LOVE THIS CAR... wish the resale was better... so I could
trade in for a new Q7 earlier......read morehide

Supper Car! Grate, dynamical, excellent turn radius, strong and reliable. Q-7 has a lot of space inside, large storage area, good stereo system another word-very good family car.

- Futuristic styling, beefy motor, surefooted handling, comfortable seats
- Weight seriously limits performance and fuel economy, not all that roomy
With the size of a GMC Acadia, you would expect that the Q7 has a spacious interior, but compared to GMC, its 3rd row is only for kids and limits cargo room. It also weighs over 5000 lbs but can't tow as much as a Mercedes GL. However, the Q7 racks up points with style and comfort, the BMW and Mercedes Benz simply don't look this good inside and out. And the panoramic roof gives it an airy feel. I love the way it handles but again the weight is always an issue, and the 21" wheels give it a harsh ride over rough pavement. If Audi can find a way to give it the ride of a GL550 (which also has 21" wheels with a smoother ride) and lose some weight, it could definitely steal sales from competitors. My advice, skip the 21's, the 20's look just as good and deliver a more acceptable ride. One thing this car has that puts it above everything is its stereo, a 1100 watt Bang & Olufsen stereo that delivers crisp sound. I have yet to hear a better car stereo system. And than there's the price, at around $85k fully loaded, you have to really think about if this car is worth over 40k more than a Mazda CX-9...read morehide

- HEATED SEATS STANDARD
- THE FUEL ECONOMY
THE AUDI Q7 IS A VERY LUXURIOUS SUV. THE QUATTRO ALL WHEEL DRIVE AMZING IN SNOW PRACTICLLY ANY WEATHER CONDITION.
THE RIDE IS SO SMOOTH.THE LEATHER VERY SUPPLE TO SIT ON. THE THIRD ROW SEAT IS COMFORTABLE FOR SMALLER PEOPLE. THE TRUNK SPACE IS OKAY.THE THIRD IS EASY TO GET TO.
THE 20" INCH RIMS LOOK SO GOOD WITH SILVER LIKE I HAVE IT. THE FUEL ECONOMY IS OKAY ON A MID-SIZED LUXURY SUV. THE CURVES ON THE CAR LOOK SO ELEGANT....read morehide

- Sline Package, loaded with options, modern looks, excellent performance.
- Poor gas mileage
Great performance with futuristic looks. Used 94 octane gas. Maximum 640Km/tank. Own it for 3 weeks and there's already a problem with the side assist. Had to bring it to replace module. Minor issue. Highly recommended buying the 3 yrs extended warranty on top of the factory warranty, total of 7 years. Worry free!!! Buying a performance SUV this size, be prepare to pay for all the extras like options and gas....read morehide

- Looks great, good quality, plently of room, nice interior, power liftgate
- Heavy, a gas PIG @ 13.2 MPG, rough ride, quality issues, poor depreciation, 5 MPH bumpers cost $2881
We bought this to replace our BMW X3 which was a total disappointment and a real piece of junk. We will never get a BMW ever again after 2 bad expeiences with 2 different BMWs.
This is much larger and fits 6 people comfortably. The 3rd row is a bit small but mostly the right size. We love the LOOKS!. Its timeless. The quality is very good and the interior is clean and efficient. Great navigation system/sound system/back up camera. The power lift gate makes shopping easy. Its well thought out... but thats where the positives end.
We first noticed that it requires PREMIUM gas which at $3.44 a gallon costs $85+ to fill it up. And you will fill it up often- we only get 13.2 MPG and what kills me is that people complain about Hummers! A freind who bought the 3.6 V6 at the same time we did doesn't do much better- they get 14.5 MPG! I'm sorry but I find that appaling and AUDI should be ashamed.
We had a little fender bender and it cost $2881.73! So parts and repair are EXPENSIVE. Caution to you if you have little insurance coverage. It was only a 2 MPH bump and the whole front end was damaged! The dealer said they need to make improvments- he was fired for telling us the truth that we should not have bought this SUV. Too late.
* UPDATE- The transmission has been replaced at 14,200 miles. It was covered under warranty but transmission should last long than that and now the numbers do not match the VIN!
* UPDATE- Wire housing and harness for rear hatch replaced due to faluty wiring which could have caught fire. Front brake rotor replaced as they were warrped. We paid dealer $1730 to replace them and pads. LED lights burned out. We had to drive 30 miles with only dim front lights. Very dangerous.
* UPDATE- Sunroof motor and seals replaced. Was found to leak in car wash.
Additionally, the depreciation rates are very bad and it lost about 35% of its value in its first year.
We are not satified and have contacted a lawyer. We would not recommend this car even it was trouble free because it is a gas pig and expensive to own and operate. Avoid this SUV. Buywer Beware. Caution is needed....read morehide

- what doesn't this suv offer...gps, bluetooth, side assist, bose stereo, cup holders galore
- you need an hour toofigure out all the bells and whistles...but it's worth it.
I love my new ride...completely satisfied. Wish I could take it to the autobahn.
Buy it...you won't be sorry.
