Made the biggest mistake of my life. Bought a 2010 S4 back in October of 2011, ended up with a lemon, will have to get rid of it. The double clutch transmission is a joke. 50% of the times when I hit the acceleration hard (like to pass someone) transmission downshifts an upshifts 2-3 times before it decides where it wants to be. At 3500 miles low oil light came on, had to add a quart of oil. Engine shakes at idle. Trip computer says I get 22 MPG, when i fill up it's below 18. Very, very, very disappointed....read morehide

It took me 2 months to find an S4 to test drive. I test drove M3's, 335's (I, IS, and xdrive's), Lexus and Infinity a couple of times over the two month before I tested the S4. I wanted to make sure I am buying the best car since I am paying $50K+ for any one of them. M3 is an M3, but was well over $70K for what I wanted so I passed on that. The 3 series, very boring looking, good performance but very still all the time, even in a parking lot. WHY do I want a sedan that's so stiff all the time, I am not racing trying to park my car! Lexus and Infinity, eh, not impressed at all. So I leaned towards the 3 series until Audi called and told me they had an S4....OMFG, just sitting in it and turning it on I already made up my mind. I test drove the heck out of it. Amazing sporty sedan! The sound of that little "gurgle" when you shift gears is just beautiful. Cornering ability reminded me of an M3 (almost), very fast takeoff and top end which will beat any of the cars I test drove (except for M3), looks (interior and exterior) blows any of the cars I mentioned above OUT OF THE WATER! (including the M3). We get enough snow where I live to make this car with the Quattro a full package of fun all year long. We had a snow storm this year and I wish I thought of taking pictures of the BMW xdrives and Infinities that were stranded on the road while I just cruised by, rolled down my window and said, "you should have gotten a Quattro", let's just say I got a couple of fingers and some naughty words. Listen, if you want the full package as far as performance, looks and AWD, THIS IS IT. The drive select is amazing and you can make it very stiff if you are on back roads, or comfortable if you are just cruising...that's the way to do it and not have a stiff car all the time....read morehide

Just upgraded from a 2008 3.2 A4 to a 2011 S4 S Tronic... what an amazing engine. 333 hp and 330 torque in a V6 turbo, combined with the rear differential, makes accelerating, turning, and accelerating while turning an absolute thrill !

Wanted all wheel drive and fun in a car living in Mass. Couldn't be happier. All winter tires a must for snow. Gas mileage a bit under advetised but I'm a bit heavy on petal as love to drive my S4.

This is my second Audi. My first one was a 2008 Audi TT manual with a 3.2L engine, which was totally awesome. I wanted to make sure that my next car would be high performance and styled nicely. The Audi S4 totally hit the mark. I love the seat, 6 speed manual transmission, acceleration and the MMI. The exterior is black and is classy and masculine....read morehide

I've had the car for about a month and aside from a nice speeding ticket, its been great. The Quattro system paired with the performance makes driving feel effortless (even too effortless at times according to the CHP). Still getting used to/breaking in the clutch and the gearbox which to me seemed a bit sloppy at first but this might be just because i'm used to driving Hondas.
Interior and exterior all match its less intense brother, the A4 which isn't too shabby if you ask me. Navigation actually understands me (after you train it to your voice). the 2011 has HD radio which is a nice addition.
To sum up: In a city dominated by BMW 335's and its many variations, its nice to have equivalent (if not slightly better) performance and handling that will get me 27 mpg on the highway (closer to 24 mpg for me), while allowing me to go snowboarding with the Quattro piece of mind....read morehide3 out of 3 people found this review helpful.
