The clean, classy, powerful, and comfortable A8 has always been a favorite executive ship. Nowadays, it's still all that with a touch more fuel efficiency. The brand's all-new, twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 (420-hp/444 lb-ft) makes its way into the A8's aluminum space frame in 2013. There's also a new S8 performance sedan touting 520 horsepower and an almost impossibly quick 0-60 mph sprint time of just 3.5 seconds. Topping the range is the big daddy long-wheelbase A8L motivated by a massive 500-horsepower 6.3-liter W-12. All A8's are basically rolling Business Class cabins. Driver and passenger are coddled by standard 18-way adjustable seats (the 22-way adjustable set is optional), standard Valetta leather hides covering all surfaces, Audi Connect mobile internet service, and Audi's latest MMI touch infotainment system synced with Google. A8L customers can opt for the Executive Rear Seat package with reclining heated/cooled massage seats, LCD screens, footrest, and mini refrigerator. A new-for-2013 Sport Plus Package adds dynamic adaptive steering, adjustable air suspension, sport differential, and 265/40-21 summer rubber. While the S8 can be easily spotted thanks to its bigger 15.7-inch brakes and aggressive aerodynamic kit, other A8s are harder to differentiate, unless you take a look at their tailpipes. A8s with chrome trapezoidal tips have a V-8 or W-12 at the nose; oval tips mean supercharged V-6.
