| Pros: | Interior and Exterior Design (Classy AND Sporty), Bose Premium Sound System |
| Cons: | Engine a bit weak, and whiny, with obvious lag; ride can be harsh |
What an awesome vehicle! I've had my Audi A4 2.0T Quattro Convertible since April of 2008 and I have to say it's just amazing. While I still sometimes prefer the stiffness and speed of my 2004 BMW 330Xi, or cargo-capabilities of my 2004 BMW X3, the A4 is a sure-footed competitor. The car is perfect for cruising along city streets or shore-line drives, and is equally capable on the highway (though only once at speed). The biggest problems to note are that the engine is quite whiny and the turbo lag is just a liiiiiiiittle annoying. I suppose this is typical of a four-cylinder, however, and since the engine was given the title of "Engine of the Year," I guess it's gotta be pretty good. My other dislike about the car is, naturally, the cargo capacity, but again that comes standard with any car of this size (notably, however, I was able to cram a massive beach chair into the backseat just yesterday). The DVD Navigation system is horrendous. It hardly ever works, and the settings are so confusing that its actually caused me to miss exits on the highway several times, not alerting me of the mistake and not re-routing me back either. The good stuff, however, is where it gets really good... the fabric convertible top, while a tad slow, is very nice and complements the body shape perfectly, making the car look sporty, nimble, and classy with the top up or down. It also does a very good job of blocking out noise (and I don't even have the optional Acoustic Noise Blocking roof). The interior design is superb and quite elegant, albeit cozy. The Bose Premium sound system is fantastic, with my friends commenting that it's better, even with the top down, the the Harman Kardon systems in my Beamers. Speaking of noise with the top down..... there is none, especially with the optional wind breaker!
All in all, this a car to be beat. I'm just waiting for winter to really test out the Quattro system... then we'll really see what value this baby has!

| Pros: | I own a 2007 Audi A4 and overall have enjoyed the experience, especially the turbo! |
| Cons: | Occassionally have a vibration in the tires, and the brakes will squeek after a big rain. |
Get great gas mileage when the weather is cooler than when it is hot (above 88) and muggy. The ride is quiet, comfortable and I have had alot of guys telling me that they love my car.
My only complaint is the expense when getting some minor things done, such as a tire rotation and balance - $100!!! Gee, can't wait to get new brakes. Been told about 20 times that the vibration in the tires is always something different, yadayada....like, oh, the car will vibrate when you are around truckers on the interstate....that's a good one, guys. I may be blonde, but, my daddy was an excellent car mechanic and I was always hanging out with him under the hood!!!
It's not rocket science. One car I owned kept having a vibration in the tires, despite new tires, new struts, front end alignment, rotating, etc...finally, I thought, let's check the motor mounts....waalaaa! I was right, because all the mounts were cracked or crumbling - and guess what, no more vibration in the tires!

| Pros: | Great fuel economy, Outstanding performance, Beautiful car! |
| Cons: | No electronic control for passenger seat |
I am reading the other reviews for this car and I cannot believe what you are saying about fuel economy. I am getting about 24 mpg in the city and 31 on the highway in my 2008 A4 2.0T Quattro with manual transmission. I love everything about this car - the interior and exterior design, the room inside! And it gets me everywhere I need to go. The AWD truly performed in the Michigan snow this past winter. Everywhere I go people are always commenting about what a beautiful car it is - it definitely stands out in Dolphin Grey with Black leather interior!

| Pros: | All wheel drive |
| Cons: | Unreliable, poor transmission |
The transmission broke after less than 2000 miles on a brand new car.
Dealer and Audi were not impressed.

| Pros: | sleek lines, smooth ride, comfy seats, |
| Cons: | uses alot of gas and oil than expected |
I have had my audi for years. I love it. I love the look of it. I always get compliments on how good it looks. Drivers seat is comfortable. However if you are 6 ft and taller, there is no leg room for the passengers. Trunk space is expected for a sedan. It has a very smooth ride. The main con for this car is that it uses alot of gas. I would certainly get another in the future.

| Pros: | Good Fuel economy for a german car, breaks are extremely well and responsive, |
this is an 2007 audi a4 2.0 the most basic version. basically the breaks on it are amazing. it can do sharp turns and has a sporty look while not looking like a show off. the rear is a bit tight. one major complaint that i have with it is very small but its annoying which is the passenger seat has to be adjusted manually with turns and pumps as opposed to the drivers seat which is all electronic. the standard audio system is amazing. and the car can fly when put on turbo. it takes a while to accelerate but passed 60 it starts to kick in

| Pros: | Good Looks, quiet cabin, luxurious feel |
| Cons: | 2.0 is weak, rear visibility is bad |
I have a '07 2.0T Quattro. After driving it for almost years, here are my comments on the car.
First and foremost, I should have paid extra for the 6 cyl. The 2.0T is lacking when you ask for it. (Although my wife is happy with it...)
Do consider the Quattro, I've pulle out of spots where some Ford Explorers couldn't get out!
The interior is well appointed, the Navigation takes a while to get used to, once you do, it's still a pain to program using the dial.
The Toyota/Lexus (Touch sensitive screen) is much easier and user-friendly.
I found the following features helpfull:
- Electric folding exterior mirrors
- Heated front seats
- One touch electric folding convertible top
- Manu-shift transmission (BTW, this is the only way I would drive the car)
On the flip side, the following features I didn't like:
- No park-tronics or rear-camera (my wife already had 2 "bumper-benders" which cost me over $1,000 to repair) Only offered on the 6 cyl, not on the 4.
- Front and rear visibility. The nose is long, needed to get used to stopping a foot sooner than I was used to.
- Trunk storage is minimal with top down. There should be a separate cabin for the folded top like my '97 Chrysler Sebring.
- Tire pressure monitor - very accurate, but the system doesn't tell you which tire is low, you need to check all 4. (The VW system is much better, it tells you the specific tire that is low.)
For anyone considering this car... These are my final words of wisdom.. I love the car... would recommend it if you can overook the little annoyances.

| Pros: | Timeless lines and beauty. Quattro is awesome in the snow and ice with winter tires. Best interior |
| Cons: | Reliability is questionable. Drinks oil and gas more than expected. Brakes are a weak point. Trans. |
I have always liked Audis and have owned 2 Audis in the past. I thought they were ahead of their time but we had some problems and never looked back. In 2004 we purchased a BMW 330i and it also proved to be a good car but unreliable. We traded in that purchased 2004 BMW 330i because it started giving us problems and it was getting expensive to own and maintain after the plan was over. It was an excellent drivers car but relaibility was a weak point.
My first choice after doing tons of research and reading all the praise from magazines and after test driving one was the 2008 Cadillac CTS. Amazing car and larger than our BMW 3 series. Price point was excellent. Value wise it was a 10 out of 10. The only problem was no dealerships had ANY CTS 3.6 DI that we wanted in the color combinations with the features we wanted for at least 3 months! My next choice was the Audi A4. Should I do it? Done. It's quite smaller but sufficient.
I got used to the size and the interior is the best I have seen. The only problem I have is with the MMI navigation. It has bugs and sometimes goes blank and loose memory. That is unacceptable.
After talking to other owners in the waiting room we found they also had many electrical problems.
The transmission is great and shifts quickly, when it is working. With only 7k miles it had to be replaced!
The engine is also great and powerful but the turbos were also replaced shortly after because it was burning too much oil and fouling up the spools. Only 11k and already two major problems. Makes me go hmmmmm. How long will this last?
Gas mileage is not acceptable for a 4 cylinder. I average about 16.1 mpg with a mix of highway and city. On the highway its 22.
I have to say the Quattro is great in snow and I put some big SUV's to shame. I saw a Nissan Pathfinder that could not get up a steep hill- yet I did it without much trouble in my A4. So yes, I like this car but reliability is unacceptable. Price wise its expensive. The interior is the best I have seen. The quality of the materials is very good. The paint does have some orange peel to the surface but otherwise fit and finish are very good. Next time I'll wait a little bit. I would not recommend this car and would never buy an Audi again. Good Luck..best

| Pros: | excellent handling, especially in the snow and on ice/slush with the quattro |
| Cons: | Audi Service!!! |
While mine was a 1999 A4 Quattro I can only understand too well Pete's concerns with brakes!
The front brakes wore down rapidly including the rotors, that, inspite of my moderate driving style (to save fuel!).
After a very costly (!!) repair I complained to AUDI Corporate HQ, since the dealer was no help at all. He actually told me:...it is the way you brake!" I replied, that I must have the only Audi with 2 brake pedals, one for the front and one for the rear!
When I told them, that their brake modulator must have been defective, since the rear brakes and rotors were virtually like new after 23,000 miles, they just recited over and over again that it is my fault.
I have been driving for more than 50 years without ever having such a problem with other cars.
The result: I traded the Audi for a Mercedes!!!
