They may be small, but they're mighty fast, mighty fun and mighty affordable. The mighty mites from the Geneva Auto Show may be going on sale first in Europe, but most may have a future on this side of the pond as buyers shift from trucks and SUVs to more fuel-efficient and fun cars.

2010 Chevrolet Spark

The 2010 Chevrolet Spark began life as a small concept introduced last year at the New York Auto Show called the Beat. Its edgy, modern styling has been grafted on the competent entry-level Chevy Aveo platform. Its low price, good fuel economy and smart looks are bound to find a youthful audience at home and abroad.

2010 Fiat 500C

Speaking of Italian flair, the 2010 Fiat 500C brings open motoring to one of the most successful small car launches in European history. The nostalgia factor is high with this tiny ragtop that features a power roof and a unique spoiler with a high-mounted stoplight that sits above the rear window and then drops down to the top of the rear deck when the roof is open. If Chrysler completes a partnership with Fiat, we could see the 500C on American roads as early as next year.
