On Thursday night, the first SRT Viper was pushed off of the Detroit assembly line to its happy owner, one Scott Thomas of Oklahoma, who bid $300,000 toward a pediatric cancer charity for the right to own Viper #001. Above the line, Chrysler also installed a plaque dedicated to Dan Knott, the former head of SRT who died of cancer in 2012, with his quote upon announcing the Viper's revival: "Today, we are a real car company again." Other Viper customers will begin getting their keys in February.
