If you're one of the many cramped up at home, endlessly shoveling your driveway due to the misery that is this winter, here's a little video to brighten your day. Yes, it still involves lots of snow, frigid cold and general peril, but unlike the insufferable daily activities we're now becoming accustomed to, this particular video involves a Lamborghini — a tuned Lamborghini that fancies itself as the next Bode Miller.
Undergoing the Reiter treatment, a company that turns stock Lamborghinis into race (or race-like) missiles, this Gallardo hit the slopes in Flachau, Austria — home of legendary ski racer Hermann "The Herminator" Maier. As far as we know The Herminator isn't behind the wheel, although whoever it is sure can carve a sweet curve. I don't think he's the confused skier minding his own business, either, which means I'm basically out of guesses.
What's most impressive about this video is the car's sound; it's an aural blend between a Formula One racer (not this year's turbo variant) and a World Rally car, with a sprinkling of Jimmy Hendrix mixed in for good measure. If this doesn't eradicate the winter blues — or the video of a camouflaged Nissan GT-R doing its best Lindsey Vonn impersonation — I'm not sure what will.
Then again, it may just remind you that others are having way more fun in the snow than you are.
