2008 BMW 3 Series Coupe

- looks, ride, excelertion, stereo, everything!!!
- navigation is difficult to learn, but that's a minor point.
Have had my care since April. I love it!!! Traded a 2004 TL.....obviously no comparison, would never purchase another Acura. This BMW is fast and responsive. I love getting into it and it handles perfectly. My husband was not thrilled about me purchasing a BMW (simpley because of it being a "BMW"), but now he even admits it's a great car. All he could say when I brought it home was WOW! He loves how it handles. Lot's of technology built into this car too. This is the first car that I actually do baby because it is so special. Totally too much fun to dirve and it's beautiful!!...read morehide

- Handling, stereo, bluetooth, interior and exterior lighting (especially adaptive headlights)
- Paint is good, but could be less chip resistant, price is higher than the competition
I owned a 2001 325i and then purchased a 2005 Audi A4 Cabriolet. The Audi had an excellent ride, the interior fit and finish was top notch, and it was very reliable. While the Audi A4 was a nice car, it never provided the driving pleasure offered by a BMW.
I drove the new Audi A5 and then a BMW 328 Coupe. The BMW 328 was a much better car than the A5. However, I would give the A5 points over the 3 Series Coupe for interior and exterior styling. Also, considering that I live in Indiana where the winters are frequently moderate to severe, AWD was an important factor in my purchasing decision.
Then I made the mistake of driving the 335xi Coupe. Warning...don't drive this car unless you can't afford it! It's the most solid, well-handling and high performance car in the market segment. The car is silky smooth, extremely powerful and drives flawlessly. Driving is now fun again...expensive, but fun.
After 1,000 miles and a month of ownership, no mechanical problems or rattles have surfaced. Overall per tank fuel economy has averaged between 18-22 miles per gallon for mostly city driving. The main factor in the fuel ecomony equation is directly related to the pressure applied to the accelerator. Even what appears to be a smooth start from a traffic light will leave other cars in your rear view mirror....read morehide

- The handlingis fabulous, the power is breathtaking, the looks are voluptuous; what more is there?
- At $3.50/gal for high test, gas mileage is painful (16/gal mixed driving)
My previous car was an `02 330I Sedan, which I loved, but there is no comparison to what this vehicle offers. In just 6-years BMW technology has improved this car and the overall driving esperience exponentially. Every moment I spend driving this vehicle is a joy; it is by far the greatest car I have ever owned!...read morehide

- speed, handling, transmission, comfort, ride, braking, cockpit
- none so far..its early
purchased car as daily winter driver. Have summer performance cars..this thing actually more fun to drive. Torque/hp available from any rpm range..just keeps pulling. Launches like a slingshot, even on wet pavement. Car is as stable and confidence-inspiring at 140, 45, or 85 on a snowy road. Great car so far......read morehide

- This car is a wolf in sheep's clothing. The performance is superb and the ride comfortable.
- Fuel economy is so, so but expected in a performance coupe.
The value of this coupe is unsurpassed. The stock twin turbo 300 hp engine is more than adequate with acceleration from 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds. The now available Dinan ECU chip will increase the horsepower to 384 and the torque to 421 ft lbs. The car handles with precision, and you would be hard pressed to find another coupe in this price range that can compare. The included BMW service package is fantastic, eliminating maintenance costs for the first few years. I have owned two prior BMWs and have had a great experience with these autos. I highly recommend this coupe to anyone in the market for a performance vehicle....read morehide

- Great looking car. Exhaust sounds great too.
- Shifter not as smooth as in an S4.
With so much torque available so low its fun to drive in the city.
Car very stable at speed: 140 feels like 100
