Purchased As New
we've had this car for over a year. as great as it is in so many ways such as handling and ergonomics, the fact is this car breaks down often. google engine malfunction. we've been stuck twice with the engine at half power. bmw did not tell us about the recalls. we've had transmission issues with the car lunging/clunking into first. there is also an issue under braking where our car only sometimes pulls hard left in rain or snow. bmw is helpful in giving loaner cars, but this car is not reliable. the bmw service people also try to hard sell a lot of stuff. lastly, the car is not stable at very high speed. perhaps it is our brake issue. this was our 3rd bmw after an unreliable x5 and a fairly solid x3. the constant issues are not worth it. i'll buy american next but i don't think it will be another x5.
