Only had a year, so no maintenance problems to contend with as yet. Was surprised also that floor mats were extra and over $200 for the four but are necessary if you live with
snow or sand. Very pleased with the cars performance and comfort, although the seats aren't as wrap around as my
previous Infiniti G35. Been impressed with gas mileage,
reliability and our service department has been a-one so far.
If you like a smaller car, the interior is a nice quality, it handles well, has many nice features, the BMW assist is an
excellent comfort and has the get-up-and-go anyone should need....read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

- A terror to maintain

Warning! If the warranty goes - so should the car. Sell it as soon as you lose the warranty. Horrible experience with BMW dealers and service department. They truly have a "don't care" attitude. Every issue I have had isnt covered under the extended warranty!

- Pros
- Handling, braking, acceleration.
- Cons
- Small interior, no standard leather, extra charge for metallic paint

The 3 series is an overall good car but for a luxury car you would expect standard features like leather, moonroof, folding rear seats, floormats. I mean, lets be serious, I'm paying over 40K and I still have to buy floormats?!?!?!??! In addition, metallic paint is another $500?!?!?!? You have got to be kidding me! Oh wait, the rear seats don't fold down? I have to buy an additional package?!?! A freaking Honda,Toyota, Hyundai gives you most of that stuff without the extra costs. Yes they don't handle as well or accelerate as fast but those are common things you see in many cars....read morehide

- Pros
- handles great
- Cons
- free service from bmw is a fraud

bmw states they service the car for free. but they say the car can go 25,000 miles between oil changes. that is absurd. on a car driven a small number of miles per year, they used to change the oil yearly. now they don't. they say coolant is lifetime. has anyone ever heard of that? there service is free because they don't do anything. after owning 6 bmw's I think it is time to give up....read morehide

- Cons
- horrible dealer service, bad tires, bad service on warranty

Had a run in with another dealership so I had to write a review. My wife and I love this 2007 328i, but we've had far too many problems for a car of this caliber. First we had some cosmetic problems with the interior leather, which was promptly fixed for free with the dealer. Next, we noticed some slight shimmy in the front end. The dealer then notified us that the car we bought had a defective lot number of tire. No problem, we get new tires, right? Sure, at our own expense. They refused to pay for the new tires. Now, a tie rod breaks on the car, and they state that it is impossible for the thing to break without some sort of driver error, so they aren't paying for that either. I guess I won't be buying that X5 after all.... Too bad....read morehide

I had high hopes for this car. BMW has a performance oriented reputation and that was the car I was looking for. I needed a car with some room also. I was really excited to drive this car. I drove an automatic and as soon as I drove out of the dealership my mind was made up. As I continued to push the accelerator down and nothing happened it then suddenly lunged into passing gear with a unsettled maniac passion. Is just modestly competative. The CXS Lacrosse really one ups this car in every category....read morehide

this is an amazing car. i drove approx. 16 hrs stright in this car from los angeles ca to denver co and i filled up twice! this car handles corners like a dream. driving thru a twisty, winding canyon road is fun and exciting in this car. i bought this car new in 09 with the premium package (auto dimming mirrors, aux radio connector, leather seats, etc,.) and the grand total was about $54k. if you are looking for a sporty luxury car that you can enjoy on long road trips, have fun through canyon roads all while achieving fuel economy better than a toyota yaris then this is your car....read morehide
