I purchased my 2011 after owning a 2007. Nice car, great on gas for its class. Downfall is 2006-2008 had more features. Bring back the cigarette lighter and backseat sacks. Love the run-flat tires. BMW needs to make more features standard, comparing to Lexus and Acura. Anyone looking to purchase, get the 335 - 300hp, 300 torque and still good on gas....read morehide

I can't believe they are discontinuing the 335d for the less powerful hybrids in 2012! It shows you how marketing works. This car is a hidden gem that is a riddle. It gives you the best of what most people are looking for these days which is more power and more fuel economy. Where usually the more power the less fuel economy you get! In this case you get both power and economy and a long lasting diesel engine. It purrs quietly when not pushed but rumbles like a Ferrari when demanded. Simply beautiful car!!!!!...read morehide

I have a 2011 335i M-Sport that I bought in May. M-Sport, nav, harmon-kardon sound system, ipod/smartphone integration, sunroof, xenon adaptive headlights, black on black leather. This car is everything I wanted. I previously had a (very) used E46 325xi, and I love that car, but this is head and shoulders above. It's meant to be driven hard and does very well at that. Accelerates like a raped ape, but can be driven very comfortably around town as well. I get 29-32 highway mpg and 19-21 around town. the new iDrive system is great, and the nav/screen is a must. The HK sound package with Logic7 surround sound makes the environment. The base stereo and speakers sound like a cheap transistor radio in comparison. As for the ride and handling, the car lives up to "Ultimate Driving Machine" standards except for one thing and that's the run flats. They make the car feel rougher than they need to be, and I don't like the fact that there is no spare as a result. The seats in the M-Sport package are great, as is the steering wheel. Perfect size, perfect feel. The view and visibility are spot-on perfect. You really get a sense of great situational awareness. The only time I feel like visibility is compromised is when the rear middle headrest is up, and that's rare. Steering is just a bit heavier than the E46 was, but precise and predictable. Value is BMW. You will pay a premium for what you get but it is so worth it. Down mark for the trim rattling but they are working diligently to remedy that one issue. Black is a PITA to keep clean but that's the trade off for the sexiest car in the lot at work....read morehide

- free service is a scam, NO spare tire or place to put one, high cost of repairs and options,

Currnetly own BMW's and Have owned in past also. Love the great handling. Have 4 major complaints about the company : 1. What is called "free service" doesn't really exist, as they say the car doesn't need any service. BMW says coolant is lifetime and transmission fluid is lifetime. NO other car company has lifetime fluids. Changing oil years back was every 7500 miles. BMW was doing it for years at 15000 miles. Now they say the car can go 25,000 miles between oil changes. They were changing oil for free once a year on low mileage cars. Now, they say it doesn't need it once a year, though the car is the same and the oil is the same. 2. The car has run-flat tires. Fine, but there is NO spare tire andno place for a spare. Run-flats only go 100 miles when flat, so what if you are more than 100 miles from service? 3. High cost of options. You can easily add 7500 to cost of car with a couple of options. Some of these should be standard, for safety reasons, such as the side mirror lowering when car is in reverse, or auto-dimming rear view mirror. Folding rear seat should be standard. 4. High cost of parts/repairs. How about $500 for a wheel bearing for the part and labor? Battery change HAS to be done by dealer; independent garage can't, because of computer. Battery cost $500!...read morehide

- ride is a little rough on uneven surfaces, which is to be expected with run flats

Purchased brand new with 6 miles on the odometer in March. Drove from NY to GA. My impressions so far; handling is great, especially at speed on curvy roads, regardless of weather conditions; fuel economy in the city getting about 22 mpg and 30 on the freeway. sidenote; freeway speeds averaged around 75 mph. take it down a bit and you'll probably expect better, but 30 mpg isn't terrible. Great power on the freeway for passing slower traffic or for just showing off; Nav, Stereo, and Telephone take some getting used too. System is easy to figure out once you spend some time going through the menus. After a week I could work it all without looking at the control. Hands free operations of phone a bonus. Downloaded 10 gb'b of music onto the inbedded HD in minutes from my Ipod and can listen to my own tunes; XM/Sirius radio 1 year contract pretty killer, will definitely renew once contract is up; Seats very comfortable, no visible blind spots. A/C takes some time to come down to temp, but you could attribute that to the hot and humid weather here in GA. Overall well worth the money and would definitely go with another when this one is ready for trade in....read morehide

The reveasre gear goes out in these cars shortly after the warranty expires. Mine went out at 62,000 miles. This has been going on with these cars for ten years or better. Since its not a safety issue they wiil not recall these cars. The problem is so bad their is actual web site called noreverse.org...read morehide

While I consider the gas mileage I get in the 335xi to be very good, one doesn't buy this caliber of car for the gas mileage. Performance, baby! I love this machine. Drove Lexus, Cadillac, Infiniti, Acura and Audi before making my decision. NO CONTEST! The acceleration, agility, power, silky transmission, and handling are surpassed by none other. Beemer, baby... Beemer!! THE ultimate driving machine....read morehide
