Took delivery 3 days ago. Waiting for break in period to be finished. Had an E90 for 170,000 miles, BIG difference, this is so much larger feeling, steering is very easy, detached feelng from the road when compared to E90. I hope to have the same performance as I had the last 7 years. Few repairs, great car....read morehide

- Pros
- Large Navigation Screen
- Cons
- Mushy Ride, Steering, Stop-Start Feature, Turbo Lag
Purchased As New
I am really disappointed with the New 3. Car drives like a 1995 Buick Skylark - far from sporty. This car is designed to appeal to the masses. The tight, sporty steering is gone. Smooth and powerful Inline-6 Cylinder is gone. Turbo lag makes for an annoying ride and my neck hurts. This car is no for driving enthusiasts. Really sad that this is what BMW has evolved to. Hello Acura. Hello Porsche....read morehide

- Quick of the line. Powerful!
- Cons
- Too loosey goosey without all wheel drive.

I have driven this new model a couple of times as a loaner and actually prefer my 2009 335xi overall. Without the all wheel drive, I find the steering far too loosey goosey (don't WANT a Buick!). The turn signal ticker is very loud and annoying in this new version and some of the interior appointments are now looking a bit plastic. The feature that turns the car OFF when you come to a stop is very annoying, also. You'll probably always leave that feature turned OFF, trust me! The new way of selecting your gear is also a little clumsy now (if it ain't broke, don't fix it). And while the device that allows your current speed to appear on the windshield is cool, that same device also throws a huge, annoying reflection the windshield in some light. Regarding the computer screen thingy... it's fixed to the top of the dash, sticking way up, which doesn't look cool. I want to be able to make it disappear from the dash if I want (I'm a purist sports car fan who doesn't like clutter). And, finally, the rear view on-screen picture you get when backing up is a fake schematic thing. Far less expensive cars have real cameras that display exactly what is behind your car when backing. Come on now BMW, step up! Overall, it's a pretty slick car with some nifty new body changes, like the larger, more aggressive appearing grill. However, I'm going to hang onto my 2009 beauty!...read morehide

- Cons
- pricey on the front end

This car is the best car I have ever driven. BW never makes drastic changes to the appearance of the car. But they have made major changes to the insides of the car. It is phenomenal to drive. If you want sporty, you can have a fast car, If you want it to be economical I get 40 mpg on my commute during the week....read morehide
