Purchased As New
In August 2012, I ordered my 2013 BMW 328i M Sport. I selected exactly the options I wanted (several including the premium package, power rear sunscreen (love it), heated steering wheel, and several others) and negotiated a good price. This is my first brand new BMW and I wanted it to be perfect. I took delivery in October, 2012. So far, I'm extremely pleased. It gets fantastic mileage when I use the EcoPro mode and respectable mileage when I switch to Sport mode. Acceleration is breathtaking and very handy when there's a turd blocking the left lane on occasion.
I live in Colorado and love, love, love driving this in the mountains. Interestingly, I found the X-Drive completely unnecessary. The stability and traction control operate flawlessly in all weather and conditions. Also, you give up the sportier M suspension when you choose X-Drive.
I definitely recommend getting the premium package with convenience entry. Basically, you never have to remove the key from your pocket to enter, start, drive, and lock the car. Very clever.
Reliability -- so far, I've only brought in for a premature (my choice) oil change on my own dime. Otherwise, it has been flawless for the last 9 months.
Overall, I'm impressed with the latest technology from Munich. Fantastic ride (even on my run-flat tires) for pretty much all conditions (bad roads here in Denver area). If you've got the bucks, it is totally worthy.
Over the last 9 months, I've averaged 28 mpg with combined city and highway driving. This is including the times I put my foot into it a bit -- who am I kidding -- I put my foot into it a lot. That's what the car is for! :)
