Upon introduction, the 535i Sedan is equipped with a standard 3.0-liter, I6, 300-horsepower, turbo engine that achieves 20-mpg in the city and 30-mpg on the highway. The 550i xDrive Sedan is equipped with a standard 4.4-liter, V8, 400-horsepower, turbo engine that achieves 15-mpg in the city and 22-mpg on the highway. A 8-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims.
The 2011 5 Series Gran Turismo is a carryover from 2010.
