- Very comfortable Sport seats, excellent acceleration and handling, solid as a rock.
- Lose the Run Flats!!, no Autobahn in the US
Purchased As Used
The 535 Wagon is a handsome, solid automobile with the handling of a sports car. It is very versatile with the split folding rear seats and other extremely well engineered details. What was BMW thinking when they made Run Flat Tires standard equipment?
The US gas model gets decent mileage, but the European diesel is much better. BMW needs to bring the 530D clean diesel to the US - it pulls like a locomotive and gets exceptional mileage. I know, I owned one in Deutschland....read morehide

- Awesome acceleration. Great handling. Not your typical wagon
- 12V doesn't work without key, Navigation is a bit of a pain
This wagon truly is not a wagon. It handles so much like a sports car. The engine is truly the sweetest part of this car. Power, specifically passing power, it absolutely wonderful. The car is effortless in almost every aspect. I'm young enough to understand and quickly get the idrive and really don't have any issues with it, but I can certainly see how many people would bash it....read morehide

- Great acceleration
- Poor quality all around. I had to replace the inside door handle-it was made of plastic. The tires k
Bad design on the bumper and the temperature guage. I had them replaced 3x already. The transmission had to be replace. The tires get wore out on the inside. I had to keep replacing the tires at 20-25,000 mile instead of the usual 40+ in my previous cars. I'll never buy a BMW again.

- Great performance, comfort, and fun
- Styling bight be bland for some people (even though i love it)
I bought a 5 series wagon about 2 months ago and it is a great ride. I dont have any problems with the car yet. Everyday, driving it gets more fun and exiting. I use this car for everything, from going on long trips, shopping, and driving to work. I have to say, this is one great car!

- 535XI is very quick, nicely appointed, handles the a way a BIMMER should.
- None that I can think of at this point.
I just took delivery of my 535XI last night and I must say this is the nicest car I have ever had. Comfort access is very cool, navigation system with real time traffic very neat and very plush and comftorable with the nicer interior package. But the true awesomeness of this car reveals itself when you accelerate on the highway, switch lanes and do pass just about everyone on the road. I really love my car....read morehide

- Acceleration Baby!
- Difficult navigation system
This car is a rocket. I've owned a porshe in the past and although the porshe handles curves like no othe car, this car is a station wagon that has some giddy up that leaves your neighbors in the dust. It's fun to drive, responsive on turns, and has the wagon in back for my two dogs who love the wagons height over my wife's X5 SAV. Switching into manual is the fun way to go and even my cousin who just got a S class AMG was awed by the acceleration. Kudos to you BMW for finally producing a twin Turbo engine with some OOMPH....read morehide

- Handling, handling, handling!! Incredible acceleration.
- Cup holders are a joke. 12V ports have no power when car off. AC fan louder than Explorer
Standard radio - sounds great. Have XM hooked up through FM transmitter. I drive is Ok and fairly easy to use. Radio automatically updates available stations as you drive in their range. Comes with function that vents car for 30min when hot and can be set on timer for coming out of work. Has some mild road noise from tires. Back windows (passenger, rear cargo and hatch) are not tinted like all SUVs are. I have noticed that most cars and wagons don't come that way from factory. Much less cargo room than my Explorer but adequate for my Golden Retriever. Front and back seat area cool down rapidly. Lots of sun with panoramic roof. Probably get this tinted as well. Can not tell by driving that it is a wagon. Feels like sedan. Cup holders only good for can sized soda, coffe. 20 oz do not fit. High fun to drive factor. Ave 24-28mpg highway. Driven 700 miles. Spendy car similar to Escalade and Mercedes r-class in price. Little more that X5 but has better ride, acceleration. stopping distance and gas mileage....read morehide
