- Options are expensive
Purchased As New
My third BMW and love the ride and overall feel of the car. The body is 50% more rigid than the previous model, and the car now has the 7 Series suspension. Zero problems after six months and 5,800 miles!
If you can live without all the electronic upgrades, the car is an outstanding value. In combination city/highway driving, the car consistantly averages over 28 MPG. The BMW Efficient Dynamics system recaptures energy from downshifting and braking.
I would strongly recommend the 2011 model, as the 2012 model 528i will be fitted with a turbo four cylinder. CAFE standards have hit BMW and other premium car manufacturers. Since the car weighs almost 4,000 pounds, the change to a four banger cannot be a positive. The BMW in-line six is perhaps the most refined engine available.
