Purchased As New
I have owned the 535i for 1 year now and I think that this car overall is worth the money I spent to purchase it. It is a pleasure to drive, and the interior is what you should expect from a luxury car. The car has a lot of power and decent gas mileage. The redesigned exterior is amazing, one of the best features about the 2011's. The interior redesign makes it more comparable to the 7 series.
I do have a few cons; I have owned a 2007 335i and I can tell that they have made the doors lighter, meaning thinner metal. The up side is less curb weight, the down side, more prone to door dings. I really do not like the run flat tires, no spare, rougher ride and the cost. Had a flat on my 335i, and had to have it towed. The seats in the 535i are comfortable but the 335i had seat that supported you from the sides, this meant no sliding in your seat in turns at higher speeds. I did not get the sport suspension and now after driving this version I should have gotten it, the ride is softer but the trade off in handling for me is not worth the additional softer ride.
Overall; I really like the BMW products, they should offer more standard features, the features are overpriced compared to other luxury car manufactures.
