- Excellent looks, engine sound and SMG transmission
- back seat space, slow convertible roof
I bought my 07 convertible last week. I couldn't wait for the 08 once I had taken the test drive and bought it that day. Initial impression on the test drive was WOW!! and that was before hitting the power button, unleashing the full 500HP. The noise from the engine is fantastic and I love the SMG throttle action when changing down, to synchronise engine speed with road speed. The SMG really makes the gear changes feel like a manual change, only way better than I could manage. The one I got is fully loaded with head up display which will be useful at night, upgraded sound, which is fantastic and all of the other goodies I can't wait for the 1200 mile run-in and first service, to start enjoying way more. I would fully recommend this car, as long as you don't mind the small rear passenger space and fuel economy. Also, take out the wheel and tyre warranty, as I had to replace 3 tyres on my 07 335i which I traded in....read morehide

- Great handeling
- Radio & HD radio TERRIBLE Very annoying. It's NOt worth the money!!
Hyped but does NOT deliver in all areas. Sure the power is there but the sound system stinks and I beleive BMW knew about the problem and hid it from the consumers. They CANNOT fix it. WHy am I so angry about the sound sytem on a sports car? For 116k with the options I expect perfection and my standards are high....read morehide

- Engine, tranny, stereo, overall performance.
I have had my 07 M6 conv since the end of May. I upgraded from an 05 645 convertible. On the day of delivery, I was having second thoughts. I thought I was wasting money but once I sat in my beast I knew it was an excellent choice. I really have no complaints about this vehicle. I had I-drive in the last one so I am very familiar with it. Learning it was not as bad as people say, using the knob after you make your initial set-up is not needed, you can use either voice prompts or buttons on the wheel for most commands. The HUD is a nice little gimmick too, I love looking at my speed on the windshield. Front seats are very comfortable, plenty of room. Back seat, well quite small but who would get this car for the back seat...Now lets talk about the exciting part of this car...Just sitting in it and starting it brings a smile to your face. After a few months and nearly 5500 miles, I still can not control my childish grin every morning when I hop in and my sadness in the evenings when put her to rest. But whats in between that time is nothing but performance packed fun. You have the option of driving in several diff modes...my choices are a little more limited as mine is a 6-speed, SMG'ers have a bigger but probably not need selection. I let the car warm up properly of course before enabling my magical little "M" button which delivers me to the 500 ponies that most people can only dream of. Otherwise you start off with a paltry 396 ponies (which was actually plenty for that vehicle). I wish I could properly express the fun of driving this car...I can not put the words down...It is beyond fun...its classy, its fast, the handling is nearly perfect. I could not recommend this car enough to people. I am stopped quite often and given compliments. Thumps up nearly every time I am on the parkway. Plus I love the roar of wide open throttle!!!!...read morehide

- More fun to drive than you can imagine.
- Fuel, but who cares. Get a Prius if you do.
SMG and iDrive are amazing once you get used to it. This car is perfect for people who enjoy driving and want to fly under the radar a bit. this car performs like a ferrari but looks like a regular luxury BMW.If you can afford it you really should get yourself an M6.

- lovely drive, rapid take acceleration and great for cruising.
- rough ride, very thirsty, paddle shift.
i just sold my 2003 E46 M3, which i owned from new. another fantastic car but i felt it was time for a change. i was giong to purchase a 335i however when i set my sights on the M6 i just couldn't help myself. what can i say, i'm very very pleased, got no regrets, not even about the heavy price tag. an absolutly fantastic car. the one i purchased was 6 moths old with 2500 miles on the clock which was great as i could enjoy the M mode from day one, no breaking in. a highly recomended car for the power hungry individual....read morehide

- Have you seen it? Every time I drive it, it turns heads. Love to drive it.
- rubbing noise in dash, who designed the rear end?
This car has always amazed me, every drive is an ultamite pleasure experiance. Granted the mercede SL is still the car of choice, but this one does make the choice hard. Good thing I think I can afford both!
