- Great handling, wonderful excellerator, tight steering, beautiful to look at
- Minimal standard features
I just bought an X3 two days ago. I originally planned on getting the 2006 325, but got talked into test driving the X3. I fell in love with it. It seemed more practical since I go skiing. The car handles wonderfully and is beautiful to look at. Overall, I am ecstatic to own it. I do, however, have to echo some of the other reviews about the minimally equiped standard configuration. For instance, the standard X3 does not come with power locks. Power locks are so ubiquitous these days that one would expect to find it on a 12K vehicle, let alone one that costs more than 30K. I took it for granted that it had it and didn't even look for it when I test drove it. I was shocked to not find it there when I needed it last night. It's a major inconvenience. I am appalled that BMW considers that a Premium option. I will surely complain about this over and over again.
