This car was supposed to be the one. Unfortunately this car is a nightmare. I have to 2012 model....its terrible. I knew i should of bought the Mercedes Benz GLK but didn't because I got a great deal. This car is very rough and the transmission has so much problems, especially the ride in the snow. Avoid this car. Please save your money and get a GLK/M CLASS or Audi Suv.

i was involved in a accident where the other driver just stopped in front of me on an interstate and hitting his car was the only option. i was driving approx 50 mph the damage to my x3 was only the loss of the fog light cover. this was my first bmw product..now im sold!

BMW X3 is fast yet safe to drive car. Performs well on any driving condition. It is really fun to drive, and then warranty expires, and boom. The fun disappears after 55,000 miles, transmission was broken and would have cost me $4000-5000 to get fix. We decided to trade it in to a Honda. These Japs last 100,000+ miles without a problem....read morehide

Too bad Yahoo does not include the cars versions sold in the entire world. There are people from all over the world reading these reviews, so why not allow for reviews concerning their car of interest? For example I have an European version BMW X3 3.0D(3 litre diesel, 258BHP). I get about 29 MPG, with winter tires in cold weather(below freezing temperatures). The diesel engine is very clean (we use high quality diesel, without sulphur, 10% biodiesel), and anyway the car has a particle filer. What I like: the 8 speed automatic with start/stop system(efficient dynamics), the engine(smooth and very powerful, btw it has 560Nm of torque), 0-100Km/h (0-60MPH) in 6.2s, the heated leather seats, the space inside, the navigation system with real time traffic data. What I do not like: bad radio reception in some areas, the paint(blue) has some yellowish dots from the factory....read morehide

Everything is terrific about this SUV. I owned a Lexus RX350 before this and the X3 blows Lexus away. Everything is very well thought out. The owners manual must be read to find out how to use everything in this vehicle. The only thing that would have made learning this vehicle easier would have DVD....read morehide

Have had my x3 for about a month, love it, love it. Went from a 3 series to this and do not regret it at all. Can not say about reliability, only have 1600 miles on it. But love to drive it, the idrive is very easy to use. Can not say enough about how much I love this car. Will update once I get more miles on it....read morehide
