- this car has TONS of interior space (the headroom of a tractor/trailer) and is very comfortable, plus it handles well.

- Ferrari power mixed with M agressiveness, superior handling in an SUV
- Harsh ride on normal roads, interior lacks finess, you can't take this car on dirt roads

As ridiculous as car experts in Europe think this car is, there's really a lot to like about BMW's latest M car. I was expecting disaster but found an engineering landmark.
The new X5 M, and I'm not joking, can hit 60 mph in juust over 4 seconds; that would make mincemeat out of most sports cars. And there's no shortage of power what-so-ever; you have a total of 555 horsepower, which is more than a Ford Shelby GT500. And as much as a road mammoth the X5 M is, the handling has lots of finess in it; this car would do pretty good out on the track.
But with all of the insanity this car has you do have your downsides. The ride on normal roads in very uncomfortable if I'm honest. The interior, for a BMW, is not fun to be in; it reminds me a funerals. And then there's the biggest problem. BMW have taken an SUV which can properly go off road, and tuned it which it can't really do any of that anymore.
The $80k price tag is very scary, and dangerously close to a BMW M5, but for something as large and as fast as this, BMW has taken SUv performance to a new level....read morehide
