2008 BMW X6 User Reviews
- $30,837 - $35,056
- A great looker, Superb handling, Wonderful seats
- Trunk loading is difficult, Rear view camera is a must.
The best performing and looking SUV money can buy. Seating for 4 people with 4 zone climate control is excellent. Handling is better than most cars. Comfort seats are worth every penny ($1200 option).
Cons: sits only 4 people for a big car.
Loading items in the trunk is my biggest problem with the car. The trunk is high off the ground and narrow. Loading one bike is an effort. The top of the rear bumper is sitting high up and you have to be careful not to scratch it while loading.
Rear view is very poor, A $450 camera should be standard on this car....read morehide

Look people its a BMW and true to it name it feels like one, fuel economy is good for a vehicle thats main function is preformance and luxury....you cant have your cake and eat it too! fast and good fuel economy dont go hand in hand with each other, just focus on the warranty and knowing the only thing outside of gas and tires you will have to pay for is insurance for the first 3 years or 35,000 miles...cost of ownership people not out the door cost and fuel cost...do the math....read morehide

- Seats are amazing; EVERYONE looks; Like driving a concept car;
- Mileage about norm for turbo-lux suv;
Just got my 50i. No other car's front seats compare to the x6 - you customize the many settings and the seats hold you tight and cozy. Traded my '06 M6 for this - the x6 is a combo M6 and X5; style, perfomance, lux, take no prisoners in your face utili-coupe. After Dinan releases the stage 2 software ecu for the x6 this car will be the fastest, highest performing, best handling su-coupe in history; most likely low 4's or better 0-60, with +100 hp and +120 torque....read morehide

- Luxury interior, Performance and slick design.
- Rough ride in back seat, too expensive, excessive fuel consumption
This vehicle has an impressive sporty design the will have on lookers take as second peek. The X6 has and excellent interior design with the Luxury known to be expected in a BMW. One thing to consider is the not so smooth ride in the back seat, even though it has comfortable seats, the rough ride is something youl will definetly notice. A high price tag and an excessive fuel consumption makes this vehicle hard to consider as you final purchase....read morehide

- great design, strong, safe, fabulous interior, sexy look
- ride is too rough, poor rear view, poor fuel economy
The car is absolutely perfect for BMW lovers, as it combines the safety of an X5 and the performance and the comfort of a 7 series. It is a great looking car for both men and women, it literally turns heads. It is not very good on gas, but no Hummer either. It does go up to 25mpg highway, though. But, hey, it is a BMW after all, so if you can't afford the gas, don't buy the car! XOXO...read morehide

- Excellent Capabilities, Great Performance, Comfort and Value. Happy with MPG.
- Just a bit pricey.. But remember if you can't afford a high-end car, Don't Buy One!
I test drove and end up buying the X6 because of such great history with the X5. I loved the design of the X5 and can't find any competitor any better. So, when I saw the X6 I test drove it asap and was very pleased. I test drove it a few more times to get a feeling for daily driving. I loved it, great for everything.
It's great for a night out, long trips, while offering that legendary BMW performance. I wouldn't call it the perfect car, but it's defiantly better than most SUV's because your getting that performance, space, but better gas mileage, safety, and standard features. So far after 8,054 miles, I have had no problems. Everyone seems to complain about BMW's reliability. It's the owner not the car. I still have my old 4.4i X5 from 2002 without a part being changed. I maintain all my cars with the required maintenance on time.
In conclusion, the 2008 BMW X6 is very solid and feels very solidly built. Handles great, performs even better with exceptional gas mileage. I can't wait for the HybridX6 coming soon. In the end, it was a great buy without regrets....read morehide

- Comfort, appearance
- Too pricey, poor fuel economy, no middle seat
Test drove it twice. Beautiful car. Way too pricey for the market. Expect to see limited numbers on the road. I would feel sorry for anyone who buys one of these because it would show lack of intelligence. Throwing money away. Not worth the price. Better off getting an X5 4.8 with all the bells and whistles....read morehide

- Good look, sleek design, good features
- No middle seat, too pricey for the market
I own a 550 and a 3.0 X5. I wanted to see what this new car was all about, so I took it for a test drive. But, the car is to underpowered and too pricey to fit into any market. I don't know what BMW was thinking when they designed this car. $60k is too much, might as well buy a 4.8 X5 to get the 3rd row and the v8.
No wonder I havent seen any of these cars on the road....read morehide
