- A great looker, Superb handling, Wonderful seats
- Trunk loading is difficult, Rear view camera is a must.
The best performing and looking SUV money can buy. Seating for 4 people with 4 zone climate control is excellent. Handling is better than most cars. Comfort seats are worth every penny ($1200 option).
Cons: sits only 4 people for a big car.
Loading items in the trunk is my biggest problem with the car. The trunk is high off the ground and narrow. Loading one bike is an effort. The top of the rear bumper is sitting high up and you have to be careful not to scratch it while loading.
Rear view is very poor, A $450 camera should be standard on this car....read morehide

- great design, strong, safe, fabulous interior, sexy look
- ride is too rough, poor rear view, poor fuel economy
The car is absolutely perfect for BMW lovers, as it combines the safety of an X5 and the performance and the comfort of a 7 series. It is a great looking car for both men and women, it literally turns heads. It is not very good on gas, but no Hummer either. It does go up to 25mpg highway, though. But, hey, it is a BMW after all, so if you can't afford the gas, don't buy the car! XOXO...read morehide

- Excellent Capabilities, Great Performance, Comfort and Value. Happy with MPG.
- Just a bit pricey.. But remember if you can't afford a high-end car, Don't Buy One!
I test drove and end up buying the X6 because of such great history with the X5. I loved the design of the X5 and can't find any competitor any better. So, when I saw the X6 I test drove it asap and was very pleased. I test drove it a few more times to get a feeling for daily driving. I loved it, great for everything.
It's great for a night out, long trips, while offering that legendary BMW performance. I wouldn't call it the perfect car, but it's defiantly better than most SUV's because your getting that performance, space, but better gas mileage, safety, and standard features. So far after 8,054 miles, I have had no problems. Everyone seems to complain about BMW's reliability. It's the owner not the car. I still have my old 4.4i X5 from 2002 without a part being changed. I maintain all my cars with the required maintenance on time.
In conclusion, the 2008 BMW X6 is very solid and feels very solidly built. Handles great, performs even better with exceptional gas mileage. I can't wait for the HybridX6 coming soon. In the end, it was a great buy without regrets....read morehide

- Good look, sleek design, good features
- No middle seat, too pricey for the market
I own a 550 and a 3.0 X5. I wanted to see what this new car was all about, so I took it for a test drive. But, the car is to underpowered and too pricey to fit into any market. I don't know what BMW was thinking when they designed this car. $60k is too much, might as well buy a 4.8 X5 to get the 3rd row and the v8.
No wonder I havent seen any of these cars on the road....read morehide

- poor fuel economy
Very nice car.Only concern is the fuel economy. But that is nothing compared to the handling and driving comfort. It is like one real machine.similar to a tank, but u drive like a formula one car.Hhahahahaaaaaa.Beautiful car.Nothing like it.
