- reliable, interior comfort, smooth ride, good mpg
- passive lighting, discontinued model
Purchased As Used
My 2005 buick century had 39k when I bought it. I have put 20k on it , including a cross country trek, with no problems. Its rides smooth, and it handles the road well; city, country and interstate driving. I've driven my Buick in the snow and it performed superbly.
With 175 H.P. at 5200 rpm, the 3.1 V-6 has pretty good power. yet it gives me 33mpg hwy and about 24 city.
The interior is comfortable and reasonably roomy, with ample storage areas. the trunk is very roomy. I also find the century to be very classy in appearence.
My only peeve is the passive lighting. I would like to have the option to control it manually. its no big deal, though.
My father has a 2003 century with 160k. He's had no major problems as of yet. That is one reason why I bought one
