2011 Buick Enclave
There are 4 user reviews for the CXL-2 AWD trim shown below
- Very quiet and smooth ride with lots of space for people and luggage.
- I wish you could get the Premium features individually, as I don't like the Nav display screen.

I purchased my enclave Certified-PreOwned from a Buick dealership and I have to say that I have absolutly no regret in purchasing this vehicle. At first I was actually looking at the GMC Acadia, so I rented one from Avis for a weekend and liked the vehicle. However; my job sent me to Orlando for a week and Avis there didn't have any Acadia and instead gave me an Enclave. I have to say that I purchased my Enclave the day after I returned home from my business trip....read morehide

- Good performance, power, appearance and comfort. Accessories perform as should.
- Fuel economy.

Read other reviews...not sure whether the vehicles were used or just didn't provide other writers what they were after in a SUV. As for me, I am extremely happy with my Enclave. It handles well on the road, looks good, and is comfortable. I have to admit that I have been a Toyota/Lexus buyer until I brought the Enclave. I did my consumer report research and test drove the vehicle. It beats my Lexus RX330 hands down as far as thrust and power and interior room. My reserve my assessment on how the entire car - mechanical, exterior and interior holds overtime for later....read morehide

- Fits two child seats and my teenager as well as hockey bag and/ or groceries no problem
- Power steering broke down

This review is not all bad. We chose this car mainly because we live in snowy Canada and we have 3 children, two of whom are in car seats and they were all kicking the back of each others chairs in our old crossover. We wanted the space and the safety of driving in the snow with AWD + snow tires.
We bought the top of the line AWD CXL2 with EVERYTHING.
We love the outside of the car and the cocoa colour we bought.
Inside the car, some of the trim looks and feels cheap. For example the top of the dash is plastic whereas our old car it was leatherette. the plastic covers for the rear LATCH system look like they will break off in a day. I dont know why they didnt build the covers to snap back on after the car seat latch was attached. In addition the plastic restraints on the side of the car behind the 2nd row seats is used to hold the seat belt straps at the correct level for children in child seats. This is nice but they also look like they will break off in 1 day. I dont know why they allow the lid for the rear trunk storage compartment to be removed. It seems like it will break soon too. The levers on the side of the 2nd row chairs are cheap plastic and they will probably break too. Overall, this was a minus for the car.
Space was a big plus for the car. We were surprised to put both child seats in the 2nd row and without the center console, our teenager could crawl and sit in the back row with her feet stretched way out in front of her. Even if she sat behind the 2nd row seats, there is still enough room for her. Above this, you could still fit 5+ bags of groceries behind the 3rd row seat or a full sized hockey bag! I wish I could take the centre armrests off the captain chairs in the second row, this will allow easier access to the 3rd row for my teenager and any other adult.
The handling and acceleration are fine. Even in heavy snow. Our only concern was the occasional sway in the car and the long stop/ slow down time. The car is very very quiet. The rear camera and park assist work well EXCEPT when it is raining or snowing. Than either you cant see anything or it beeps all the time. Overall, this was a plus for the car.
The bluetooth work very well. There is no static/ noise with the calls. I would suggest in future models that in addition to the usb connecting all the songs to the car radio, the usb or bluetooth should be able to connect all the contacts to the handsfree so you dont have to verbally record all the phone numbers on the contact list. This was a plus for the car.
My wife would like a simple compass in the car either electronic or dial. We have the navigation but it is not intuitive and difficult to orient yourself according to the direction of the arrow ( despite a selection of 3 views on the navigation). The voice navigation is annoying. The DVD player only accepts 1 disc whereas our 5 year old car takes a 6 DVD changer. It is difficult to adjust the sound balance in the car as it requires a few menu pop ups and pressing a digital key on the screen. In our old car this was just two knobs you could depress and play with. I would like a discrete HUD in future models similar to the acadia. This is neither plus or minus.
When we bought the 60,000+ car, we drove it home and the power steering broke immediately! A loose clamp allowed all the fluid to leak out. I asked for a replacement and this was difficult to get one in the same colour or to order a factory build. We could have forced our money back given that they sold us a defective car but this would have been difficult and there is little new car protection in Ontario/ Canada. We settled on a small discount for our troubles and the fact we almost crashed our whole family into a house. It seems clear to me from the dealer that there is little quality control on these cars once they are built. So I would give the quality a fail but a positive on the service/ sales department as they tried to smooth this one over....read morehide

- a great family vehicle that looks sexy
- Rides horribly and is severely underpowered
Purchased As New
From all accounts the car is beautiful. The inside really works with power everything. All looks no performance car is very wobly and has no vroom whatsoever. I dont need a sport but it is a real pig and rides hoeeibly. We had tremendous issues with the sunroof leaking and flooding the whole car. It was related to the assembly (gotta love american). My wife loves the vehicle because it is a very stylish looking car with all of the features you would need in a minivan In the crossover class the trunk space is by far the best. With seats up could have groceries....read morehide
