2008 Buick LaCrosse User Reviews
- $9,750 - $13,105
- has power to spare,good mpg,rides good
- trunk is a little small
ride good, lots of power to climb hills which gives great hi-way mpg, good dealership, love on star, can drive 13 hours without getting tired 830 miles. The only thing I wish I could change is the smaller trunk but we took enough luggage for 2 months and my golf clubs so I can't complain.

- Quiet, drives and handles well, good power, total reliability
Love the style inside and out. Car is smooth and handles different types of roads very well. Haven't had a single problem with this car.

- Trip computer poor; far cry from my last car; 1996 Aurora
My previous vehicle was a 1996 Olds Aurora. Purchased new in 1995. My opinion is - it was the BEST car GM ever built. It was a marvel to drive and its design was admired by all.
It looks like GM has another winner in the Buick La Cross CXS.

- COMFORTABLE! Poised, mannerly, great ride compromise, This is Buick?!
- Access weird but with practice just fine.
I can't believe this is Buick! THIS IS NOT GRANDPA'S BUICK! It's quiet, corners very nicely, rides very well and goes like a S.O.B. without ANY ado. It is, simply put, the finest balance of comfort, convenience, performance, good looks and VALUE I have ever come across in all of my years.
I am a mere 45 years old and, despite Buick's history of being a pokey, stodgy underperformer - I LOVE THIS CAR!
Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone considering a luxury car with SNOT. Will solidly outperform Maxima, Camry V6, Acura TL (yes, even Type S) Lexus IS - I got mine for 29K loaded. WHAT A DEAL with a 100,000 mile warranty. OUTSTANDING VALUE....read morehide

- QUIET interior, comfort, handling, power
- None noted
Have had for 2 weeks and am totally pleased. Traded an '04 Grand Prix GTP
Comfort is excellent, including the back seat. Displacement on demand is totally transparent. This car really handles, yet the ride over rough roads is excellent. Great braking system, too. Fit and finish are perfect as is the paint. Sound system with 6 CD changer and XM radio are as good as I've heard. Great in snow. Came with 18" Michelon Pilots. Seat inserts look great and should be cooler in summer than solid leather.
Have not checked mileage to date.
Car only weighs 150 lbs more than a Saturn Aura XR but seems much bigger inside.
Infrared back-up assist is neat as is the remote start.
With all the chrome accents and chrome wheels, black car looks stunning. At least when it's clean.
Engine has a great exhaust note outside of the car and gobs of power.
I highly recommend this car....read morehide

- sporty handles very well excellent climate control great brake system excellant get up and go
- dont buy it for gas miliage
have drove pickup trucks and SUVs for the last 30 years and it is time to buy a midsize luxury car. After much research I found that the Lacross gave me a whole lot more for my money then any other american car out there.Sunroof leatherseats heated great trim package and I think the looks compare to any other foreign or domestic car out there. The first weekend trip my wife and I went got many complements on my new Buick. Iam very proud to own and buy american!...read morehide

- Drives and handles great, love the leather dreamweave seats, quiet and tight, like the sun roof also
- needs memory seats as an option and more room in door pockets
I love this car!!!! I have had mine for about 3 weeks; it drives like a dream and is stunning to look at. This car is an excellent value for a luxury car and that's exactly what it is. Buick and General Motors need to be promoting this vehicle more. I like having On-Star and XM Satellite radio (which I will definitely keep). I'm not as concerned with gas mileage as I am with comfort and safety. This car can span generations with its good looks and handling. It has the sporty feel I loved in my Regal and Intrigue. I'm beginning to get the hang of the remote starting. It takes some practice....read morehide

- Fit and finish, short turn radius, quiet ride, comfort, well placed controls
- cheap standard floor mats, no pocket in headliner for sunglasses
We turned in a leased 2004 Infinity I35 which was FWD. This was our second Infinity and we were happy with both. New model is RWD and pricy. Looked at Acura TL, Toyota Avalon and Lincoln MDX. On our way to Lexus dealer we stopped to look at Pontiac convertible and saw the Buick. Wife liked the Buick. Have not had a new American car in years
This is a terrific buy because it has great features and is thousands of dollars less than the cars above. Ours is fully equipped. Excellent sound system and we like ON STAR. This is a luxury car and should be better promoted. The difference between the base CX and CXL is a marginal amount and well worth it....read morehide

- Drives like a dream. Comfortable. Good Standard Features
- Remote Start takes a little to get a hang off, no feedback on Remote
I have had my new LaCrosse CXL for a week now and I love it. The car looks great in black and the leather is nice and soft (although padding is a little hard in the lower back, but good support).
With 500 miles on it so far, I can say it drives like a dream. The 3.8L V6 is enough power to get you around in comfort. The ride and handling are a perfect balance between luxury and performance. I have had passengers comment already that it rides like their Audi. It really is a under $27000 Luxury car.
The standard features are great as well. I love my remote start, however I have had issues with the car starting up and then shutting off after x number of minutes (which the dealer told me it would do), but you then cannot restart the car without the key in the ignition. Also I wish it had feedback on the remote to let you know the car started, but that is getting really picky.
The On-star system is great and fun to use! And as much as I always thought it was stupid to pay for Radio, I am really enjoying the XM trial . I am probably going to keep it after words. On steering wheel controls are great as well.
I will update my review after a few months, but I am thrilled so far. I am probably one of a few people under 30 years old to buy this car, but it really is a car for all ages. It may not be as sporty, but it really is a luxury car at an affordable price. Well worth a test drive. I would suggest the CXL or higher, worth the extra money for the leather!...read morehide

- super quiet cabin, smooth ride, seat comfort, high quality
- fuel economy, lack of high-tech V-6 in CX & CXL
Bought another, after having previous one three, flawless, years. Very under-rated. Nothing in this class can match quietness, ride, comfort, and quality control. Better than my now owned Accord and Avalon.
