- Terrible Fuel Economy & Poor Fit & Finish
Purchased As New
I bought this car as a replacement for my wife's VW Passat. Not knowing very much about Buick I decided to give this car a try and boy do I regret it. The worst thing is the gas mileage. The cars sticker reads 17/27 mpg. That must be on Fantasy Island because the car is averaging 15.9 mpg. That is driving normally and not agressively. I bought this car instead of an SUV thinking the MPG would be better. The fit and finish is normal GM cost cutting garbage. This car has an MSRP of over $39,000 and I thought this would be better. I think who ever did the final inspection at the factory must have been partially blind as there where multiple problems that where not picked up. My car has the double sunroof and the sunshade has a tiny gap when closed and the sun blinds me through it. One of the wheels on the car was not balanced and had to be rebalanced after picking it up. The steering is extremely light and overboosted which gives you no road feedback. The car has no storage inside the car. Just 2 cup holders and a tiny center compartment with a lid. Not sure what they where thinking because you have to store your cellphone in the cupholder. The cellphone charger plug is also terribly placed. It is in the small center compartment which means you have to close the lid with your cell phone inside. This is the only plug besides the one in the backseat. Another problem is the stereo controls. Sometimes they don't work when you control them from the steering wheel. The seats are also terrible and unsupportive. They need to adjust down more. I'm 6'3" and my head slightly touches the roof. Not sure if this is because of the double sunroof since it sits lower. The car has terrible body roll also when taking a turn fast. To sum it up if you want a luxury car buy a European car. They know what there doing. I'm not trying to bash this car. I really wanted to love it. It has everything you want on paper just not when you drive it. Now I'm stuck for another 3 years with this car. Good thing it's my wifes car and I don't have to drive it everyday.
