2008 Buick Lucerne User Reviews
- $10,213 - $14,741
- Very smooth ride and very quiet. Like the bells and whistles.
- V8 gets poor milage, dash board layout not as good as my 97 LaSabre, trunk open in glove box is bad
The dashboard and environmental display is hard to read. I like the door in the back seat to the trunk for long objects. 4 wheel disc brakes are great. Car handles well, turning radius could be tighter. The soft ride, comfortable seats and the quietness are the best features. I compared this car to the Cadilac DTS, very similar in ride so that makes the Lucerne a bargain in my eyes...read morehide

- The ride is as good as any car
- Turning radius; stereo could use improvement
I'm quite surprised that some people complain about lack of room. I'm a large person and I find the interior space more than adequate. At under $30k, this car is a good value.

- Fuel economy good. 28 miles per gallon on highway. Like big car ride.
- takes a large field to turn car. Steering needs to be quicker. Gages are hard to read.
This could be a very good car if General Motors would pay attention to what the customers want. The LaSaber was a better value.

- Sleek lines, great standard features and packages, quiet ride
- Have not found any yet
I just bought my Lucerne this week and am very satisfied with the car. I find the phone, OnStar and other equipment useful when traveling. This is my 5th Buick (LeSabres) and find the CXL a step up. I hope to have as good luck with this car as the other 5.

- It looks good, drives ok & gas mileage ok
- Not enough leg room, center console takes too much room, seems smaller than my LaSabrae
I traded my LaSabrae for this Lucerne and have been sick about it. This car doesn't have near the interior room & therefore not as comfortable. I think you are trying to impress a younger crowd, but believe me, you need to think about the comfort of the older crowd. We are the people who buy the bigger sedans & are therefore the ones you need to please. Please bring back the LaSabrae. I have bought them for years with a grest deal of pleasure. I need bench seats and gears on the column. I want lots of head and leg room. I want my LaSabrae back!!!...read morehide

- Excellent fuel economy, luxury at its finest. Definately a Buick ride.
Purchased a 2007 Buick Lucerne CXL 1 month ago. First trip on second day was 1500 miles. This vehicle handles superbly. Buick quality built into a fine luxury automobile. I have had no problems in the last 30 days and no complaints on any part of this vehicle. Had not driven a Buick in a number of years. Was so satisfied that 2 days later went back to the dealer and purchased a 2007 Buick Terraza same quality with no complaints. I currently have about 3000 miles on both vehicles. No regrets and no problems....read morehide

- Looks pretty
- Interior too small, Rounded front seating, Not enough leg/head room. Not good for long trips
Previously owned a 2005 Buick LeSabre. I'm sorry to say that this vehicle was destroyed in an auto accident and I was forced to purchase another vehicle and they no longer make the LeSabre. The wife and I looked around for a similar vehicle and she likes the gear shift on the column so we decided to go with the Lucerne. I have only had it one day and I'm sorry I purchased it. I don't like the curved backs on the front seats. They tell me this is a safety feature. (There was no problem with the straight back seats in the LeSabre). There is not near as much leg room in this vehicle either. I don't believe I am extremely big (6'1", 225lbs) and I feel cramped when I am driving this vehicle. I realize that Buick is trying to design for the younger crowd (Not your father's car), but I am in my 50's and believe they totally wrote me off. I want to be comfortable when I take a long drive and I don't think they took this into consideration when they designed this vehicle. Even though the vehicle looks big, the interior is not. I tried to have my three children sit in the back seat (they are young adults) and they all complained about sitting to close to each other with no room. This vehicle will only seat four. The seats were suppose to leather, however, it is a mixture of leather and fabric. I don't want to comment yet on the special features in this vehicle as I have not yet tried them all. I doubt that I will ever use some of them (they came standard). I also do not like how close they put the cup holders to the seat. I know someday I will use these cup holders and they will spill the content of my cup onto the seat. This vehicle would never fit five or six people comfortably....read morehide
