- Pros
- fuel mileage, plenty of amenties, quiet and smooth ride.
- Cons
- gas cap on right side of car

This is my third Buick. The Verano is quieter and more comfortable than my 2005 Lacrosse. The only problem i see so far is the gas filler is on the right side of the car. I will provide further updates as time goes on.

This car is very well built and feels great. The Bose sound system sounds fantastic and the Bose technology that went into the design make it one of the quietest cars I have ever been in. If it is like my last Buick, then it should last for many years and still be a great solid car.

I just purchased this and I have to say all the reviews about this car are correct. First off it is a beautiful vehicle, handles great, lots of cool features for the money. Like the reviews say it is so quiet its just amazing I mean really. Haven't tested the MPG yet but I am sure it will get what it claims. I have seen "professional car reviews" and they seem to slam this car as far as horsepower goes but let me tell you I have no complaints and this coming from someone who's past cars all had a V6. This car is by far the most comfortable, fun to drive vehicle I have ever driven and I have had alot of cars....read morehide

A review of my 2012 Buick Verano just after passing 1500 kms
General note – This review is not intended to either prove or disprove anyone’s prior, existing opinion(s) & or reviews of the car. It is, for all intents and purposes, my thoughts after having driven up to, and just passing the 1900 kms mark. I am not, and do not claim to be a professional auto reviewer. However, like many of you, I do happen to like cars & truth be told I am really, really liking this vehicle.
And NO, I am not either 60 or 70. But let’s just say I am in my earlier 40’s.
About me: American born but raised in Lugano Switzerland in my early hood then back to the U.S where I served in the USMC and afterwards worked at Boeing under Alan Mulally’s leadership. Now a part of the Canadian landscape. My Grandfather, who raised me in Lugano (Switzerland) basically retired from MBenz. As such, he was truly passionate about cars and as such I was raised around Alfas, Fiats, Opels, Peugeots, Renaults Porsches, you get the picture. He was also good friends with Clay Regazzoni and I was offered the opportunity to be introduced to Niki Lauda. As a side note, my Nonno most idolized the Opel GT.
Cars I have owned: Ford Pinto, Toyota Starlet, Toyota Celica, Chevelle, (2) Chevy Camaros, Chevy S-10, Merkur XR4Ti, Audi A4, Suzuki Sidekick, VW Jetta, Mazda Miata and lastly the Verano. As it happens, once the Verano Turbo arrives I may be upgrading to it.
What I was looking for in a new car: An entry level luxury / luxury vehicle focusing on several aspects of the car ownership experience to include: well built, reliable, great to drive, safe, decent on gas, comfortable & lastly aesthetically pleasing.
On to the car
2012 Buick Verano – (EXT) White Diamond Tri-Coat - (INT) Cashmere Leather Package with Intellink (less Navigation) but with the optional wheel package.
Average combined mileage so far (as per trip computer): 12.4 L - Not that great but as it happens, and with anyone being familiar with Richmond, B.C., one should know that it has more stoplights per capita than the rest of the world combined. Not sure as to what the City Planners where thinking when designing roads, but traffic must not have been one of their top priorities. IMO, Bangladesh has better roads for Heaven’s sake.
So, why the Verano? The only reason that I was swayed in the first place towards this purchase was after being talked into test driving a Chevy Cruze. After doing so, it led me to believe, that for once, GM along with its other American counterparts, were finally changing for the better. The fact that the Verano has German DNA also helped to have it as one of my choices....read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- Great and cool car all together
- Cons
- Not Much storage areas (Being picky here)

Extremely quiet inside, and good leg room for both driver and passenger. Full of features and very cool. My children were saying Buick is an old people brand and when they jumped in to the car they were amazed! We just love this car. All the technology is great, I plugged my Ipod, I can control my phone form the console or voice command via bluetooth, etc, etc.
Why to buy an import that costs twice and have less features.
Couple of things I'd add is a 4 wheel drive...read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- Very comfortable and extremely quiet.
- Cons
- Engine is a tiny bit sluggish from a stop, but engages very well in traffic.

We fell in love with this car on the test drive. Bought it and two hundred miles later took it on a small trip (500 miles) and averaged 32.1 miles per gallon on the road. It handles and rides great. The quiet ride is incredible. It is an unbelievable car for the price.

- Pros
- Fuel econ, looks, infotainment, quick
- Cons
- A tiny, tiny tight in the back seat, but it's workable

I just bought the Verano today, and all I can say is every automaker that isn't named Buick should watch out, and will have to step up their games. You just can't find a car in this price-point that offers this many features, standard. It has dual climate, blue tooth, nice MPG, great styling, faux-leather, nice interior all around, very smooth shifting, etc. This car rocks, oh, and speaking of rocking, the stock stereo system is INCREDIBLE and is very full sounding. The car I traded in was an '06 Mustang and I don't miss the decrease in power at all. The Verano is far from weak with 180 horses under the hood. This thing moves with ease.
I seriously can't get over how great this car is and I feel like I got the best deal of my life, and I'm glad I took a chance on Buick. You seriously can't go wrong with buying this car - It’s simply amazing....read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

I became interested in this car after seeing it at an auto show in 2011. Test drove the car after it became available in my area and loved it. I have driven it on 1200 mile trip and found it to be comfortable and problem free.
