2005 Cadillac CTS-V User Reviews
- 4th Gear Force shift
- Back wheel hopp
After seeing her in the showroom I fell in love. After test driving her I was addicted. Cadillac has pulled out all the stops on this vehicle. For a middle aged business man the fun is back with Cadillac. The power in this four door is amazing. There are few vehicles on the street that will even touch this car. My hats off to the engineering team; God bless you!!!...read morehide

- Horsepower and comfort in one big beutiful Cadillac wrapper.
- The only problem I found was, well I didnt find any.
This is the best car Cadillac has ever put the badge on. I cant wait to drive the sts-v andxlr-v when they come out. Cadilac is passing all you european sedan drivers in about 4.7 seconds. And we proud americans are lovin' it.

- This car has world class performance, handling and comfort
- The rear end hops some durring extreme hard launches
Yeehaw! I've got a 400hp 4 door Corvette for under $50,000! This car is a blast to drive! Cadillacs are beating Audi and BMW on the track. Audi and BMW have decades of experience in racing and are being whipped by an American newcomer! This makes buying American even more satisfying.
The quality is high, ride integrity is excellent, it's solid, it's fast, it's comfortable, the trunk is giant, no rattles, no squeaks, just screaming from the passengers!
The standard features are exceptional: Navigation, XM, Xenon headlamps, Leather, Dual zone climate control, Brembo Brakes, Defeatable Stabilitrak, 18' wheels with run flats and there's more.
Yeah, there are some weak points, but all cars have some.
The stereo is not great and Cadillac should address and repair the rear end hop on all of these cars, but I can live with those things!...read morehide

- No trim specified for this review
- Too many to list
- the run flats.
I now have 2200 miles on my black on black cts-v. I live in colorado and put snow tires on it. The snow tires give it a better ride than the run flats. Softer side wall and they have better traction. This car will get you in trouble. It is the ultimate sleeper. You will smoke almost anything on the road in a 4 door luxury sedan. I even have a baby seat in the back of mine....read morehide

- Corvette in a sedan, plus the car comes fully equip. Except for the Moon/sun roof.
- Inside is to plan and needs telo and remote to radio controls on the steering wheel.
I would like to see this car availible in automatic and manual in the future. They ned to make the inside look a little more on the luxury side as well. Something like the E55. I've added a carbon fiber kit around the air vents, shift and radio to spunk up the inside and chromed the stock wheels and added a factory spoiler to the outside. It's made a overall apprearance upgrade. Now I'm ready to compete w/ the E55 all around....read morehide

- 400 horse POWER, 5 seats and the luxury of a Caddy
- Hate the Run Flats, screw up the smoothness of the cadillac ride and cause a hop (with t/c off)
I fell in love with this car the first time I drove it. I fall in love with it again every time I am at the front at a red light...
An LS6 400 hp engine that you can show off to 4 of your favorite people, while they ride in style. There isn't much on the road that can catch this. I've never owned a better car.
This is the beginning of next line of classic muscle cars ;-) and I got me the cutest one.
I think Cadillac out did themselves. Each of those engineers deserves a gold star and a pat on the back. They've made this engineer very very very happy......read morehide

- WOW comfort and stuff!!!
- Did fly as promised on TV
I betch yaaa I was the first to get this baby in my little town. What a head turner it is for everybody driving by the only local dealership who has it. Too bad I got suspended again now while test driving this beauty, trying to see if it could really fly like a wind or a bird, the stuff they show in TV commercials you know. Let me tell ya it rocks. I got up to 60mph in less than six secs just like promised and loved the stereo too! I really liked the leather they put in a great deal too! Next time I can drive, I'm back to the dealership for another ride, I promise....read morehide

- Adrenaline pumping acceleration. Handles like its on rails. Good power/handling to price ratio.
- Axel-hop is annoying. Pedals are not adjustable (G6?). No telescopic steering wheel adjustment.
I've had this car for about a month and I'm impressed. Those of you whose inner child yearns for a Corvette but the adult in you demands a more pragmatic status vehicle, the CTS-V is for you. This is not your grandparent's Cadillac (not that there was anything wrong with the El Dorado, et al. but times have changed). With its edgy styling, blistering acceleration, and euro-influenced handling and breaking, I would highly recommend this vehicle to those of you caught in the time-space continuum wrinkle between the Rebel and the Responsible.
Improvements: Driver comfort could be better achieved with adjustable pedals (and spacing of pedals for those of us who would like to practice heel-to-toe manuvers) and telescopic adjustment of the steering wheel. Less Play-Skool and more Lexus/Inifinity on the interior. The axel-hop on hard take-offs is almost unforgivable....read morehide

- HP & Torque are awesome, tight suspension, lateral g's visual is cool, very comfy dr. seat.
- Not many luxury added features compared to E55.
Awesome power! If you want a corvette with 4 doors and space in the trunk then this is for you:-)
I occasionally will haul the kids with this car and/or golf bags.
Love the Brembo brakes and tight suspension.
Would be nice if this car had some luxury items such as: short throw trans, steering wheel mounted stereo controls, F-1 sytle paddles, A/C seats, memory steering wheel, MP3 capability, rear seat HVAC system, rear window power shades, larger rear tires (285/40 ZR19's??) and optional rear seat DVD's....read morehide
