Ok so we drove this vehicle a lot before we finally purchased.
The entire experience of buying a "Caddy" was terriffic. The sales people were great and the follow up service from GM was a delight. They still care about what the end user thinks about their product.
We compared other high end SUV's, which had some better features, but decided to purchase the Escalade. Deciding factor was safety. We feel like we'd survive a head on in this vehicle.
Pro's - Handles well, comfort on long trips, excellent cargo space, onstar(still learning it), tons of tech stuff.
Con's - Hear some road noise( GM needs to fix), front passenger needs more leg space, manual is complex to read.
Note - we took the vehicle off road on sand and gravel.Tons of bumps for 5 miles. We did feel the bumps, but it performed flawlessly - nothing fell off !...read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

I test drove the AWD Luxury car. it's spacious, not bad looking, fast, very comfortable and quite powerful. On the road, i love this car, and would take it over the X6 anytime. If the price wasn't an issue.
As if the initial $70K price tag isn't enough, this car drinks gas faster than a Russian lumberjack drinks vodka. It also has a turning circle that only a lorry could match. And it is unnecessarily large. If you thought your Dodge Charger or your XJ220 was unparkable, you haven't seen this.
Then i took it off the road. Being a large SUV, I assumed it would do well. it does well on grass, or mud. But if you want to do the fun kind of offroading, on rocks or sand, don't dream of replacing your Defender with this. It would fall apart two minutes in.
But despite all that, i find i quite like this car. It has that american spirit to it. All i have to do is imagine it in matte black, and i'd rush to buy it...if i had $70K to throw around....read morehide1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.
