My 2011 is the best vehicle I've owned.I use it for hauling, towing, and driving on long trips. My wife enjoys the comfort and room inside the cab.Its sad Chevy won't be making them any more.

Pros best of both worlds suv & truck.
Cons I wish the fuel economy was little better, if it was I would loose preformance

This is the most useful vehicle I have ever owned. It can be the best of both worlds. SUV or a truck. It is truly sad that GM is stopping the production of truck. I have done some things to mine to make it my own.

Pros Looks Pretty
Cons Navigation system is not that good. Vehicle is expensive for what you get.

I've had four Avalanches through the years. This 2013 is my least favorite. FIrst - the white diamond paint peels off easily and is VERY expensive to get fixed. Second - you are much better off with a Garmin or some other $150 Nav system than the $2500 nav system in this vehicle. It came with 2011 maps and will cost me $199 to get them upgraded. Even though it's a NEW vehicle! Not only that, it will not tell you the speed limit on the road your on or the speed you are going like the Garmin will. Third - the front end makes a lot of noise when you hit a bump. The dealer said this is "normal". None of my other ones did this. Fourth - you HAVE to use special GM oil that only the GM dealer has or it will void the warranty. Fifth - They moved the outside temp and compass from the mirror to the dashboard and no one can see it but the driver. Sixth - it's made in Mexico. Overall I'm not happy with this vehicle and will most likely buy a Dodge or something else next time....MoreHide
