- Looks good, Good milage, and handles good.
- Wide turning radius, needs more storage inside.
My Colorado Z71 will be one year old this month. I was sold on the Toyota Tocoma, but bought the Chevy mainly due to price. I was sure I would regret my decision, but Chevorlet proved me wrong. This truck is far better that I gave it credit for in the beginning. I am 6'-2" and this truck fits me well. The Toyota had a few more bells and whistles, but sometimes it's those little extras that will cause you the most trouble. I would like to see Chevy put some extra storage inside the cab and a factory applied bed liner would be great.
The truck handles great and the ride is what you would expect for a Z71 package. I would like to see a little tighter turning radius.
I have driven the truck through the Blue Ridge Mountains and to both Virginia Beach and Myrtle Beach. The five cylinder engine also has proved to be a good match for the truck. The power is nothing to brag about, but it gets the job done quite well. I have had two S-10's and one Silverado. They were great trucks too. Chevorlet looked at problem areas in these trucks (like interior trim issues) and eliminated the problem areas in the Colorado. The door panels and center console are made of a much tougher material.
