I was pleased with the power and torque of the I-5 since we pull a 20 ft. boat. It does a better job than my 4.3 S-10 did pulling and stopping. The crew cab Z-71 comes with front torsion bars which gives a solid feel, but not to stiff for every day comfort. Averaging around 20 mpg in overall driving. I sprayed under the hood with body undercoat to deaden engine noise . Overall we are very pleased with this truck....read morehide

- good interior room, good Economy, adequate power
- engine noise, slight brake sqeak
Truck looks great, and has good economy (for a truck) I like the interior style and roominess. Some kind of storage room behind the back seats, or under the back seats would be nice. There is engine noise under acceleration, I have the 3.5L, and it is not as musical as a v8.
Overall, it is as capable of a truck as the average guy needs, and it works well as a passenger hauler as well....read morehide

- Not Good-15-20
- Ride is Good
The interior is the cheapest you will find on any mid-size Truck.
I have a 2006 Colorado Crew Cab with 6,000 miles and the driver
seat is already worn bad. I had a 1997 S-10 that I put 120,000 miles
on and the interior was better than Colorado is now. If you want a good truck, buy a Toyota Tacoma,it is the best truck for the money. On a scale
1-10 the Colorado is a 5 and the Tacoma is a 9....read morehide

- i'm getting 20 mpg highway and city mixed !
- ride is smooth but yet solid and beefy like a full size pick-up
when i was shopping for a new truck , I was a little concerned about the I-5 Motor...Then I took it for a ride...all i can say is awsome ! I would tell anyone this is the way to go...plenty of power , comfort and style...and i looked at Ford and Toyota which were my only other considerations...don't get me wrong they are both fine vehicles...I had a Ranger for 13 years....But when i saw the Colorado and took a test drive I was hooked.....Love this truck...for anyone who wants something they can do a little of everything with this is the one...Keep up the Great work !
