- Appearance, quiet & LARGE cab
- Low-end torque, Bucket seats not so great.
Pretty good little truck so far. I had an 89 S10, and a 98 Blazer, both had the 4.3 V6. The 3.5 I-5 does a MUCH better job of merging into freeway traffic, and so far has gotten as good if not better mileage, though true mileage isn't supposed to be achieved until about 10,000 miles. No big problems so far, some small issues that will be taken care of today when I drop it off for it's 6,000 mile oil change (lumbar adjustment knob broken, HVAC fan slightly noisy, blown speaker, sqeuak in suspension, intermittent popping noise when window goes up or down). Only other complaint is that it could use some more low-end torque. I'm hoping that with the Hummer H3 sharing the same engine we'll start seeing some aftermarket support for this truck.
GM, please make a bucket set that actually feels like a bucket seat. I'm about to yank the seats form my old Saturn for this thing. Otherwise, everything's good for this first-year-release truck. Even enough room in the back set for my 6'5" friend to ride. I have really enjoyed this truck so far and will still recommend it to friends & family.
BTW, My truck manufactured in May '04 (Sticker on the driver door tells you), so it was late in the production run....read morehide

- Great Gas Mileage, great idea on 4 doors, ugrade on engine from V6
- Kinda noisy with stuff in toolboxes
This has been a great truck so far, with 3,600 miles on it. I have taken it on 2 trips for 7 hours strait and she performed like no other, with a float ride and great gas mileage for a 220 hp 5 cyl. I like the fact that it will get up and go into traffic and save me money on gas. The looks are decent also. The truck also has unbeatable handling around sharp corners and curves, and keeps up with my 1991 trans am in cornering and performance. I would like to suggest that peopel dont buy a newly designed vehicle until it has been out for a year or 2, just so they can work the bugs out. This is why all the bad reviews for this truck. Plus, even though I got a $25,550 vehicle for 2$20,800 (including tax), the old saying still goes: you get what you pay for....read morehide
