2006 Chevrolet Colorado Extended Cab 4WD
There are 7 user reviews for the LS trim shown below
- good gas mileage, looks great, great in snow, pulls camper great
- mine was not on-star capable, starting to rattle on inside
I have a 2005 Colorado and have no problems. Wish it was on-star ready though for the price. 40,000 miles and not in the garage for anything but oil changes. The extended cab doesn't have much room even for a kid.

- The 4cyl. 5 speed manual is fun to drive. I get 19.5 MPG. Best truck on the market.
- None so far. I installed 6 1/2' personal plow. The truck handles it very well.
I have owned Ford and Chevy trucks in the past. The Chevy truck has always been the better of the two for me. Chevy lives up to their slogan of "LIKE A ROCK".

- the truck looks nice, and i like the 6 disc in dash cd player
- to rough, bad gas mpg, rattles like a toy
this is the worst truck i have ever owned. the power wheels big foot truck that my parents bought me when i was five years old ran smoother and better than this. this truck rattles more than a babys toy. Dont watse you money

- Excellant ride, acceleration. Handles well. Good looking too!!
- Wish MPG was over 25. Front ABS is quick to engage.
I replaced a '94 Silverado with an '06 4X4 LS Extended Cab, 5-cylinder. I have put 9,000 miles on in 3 months and have had the truck to the dealer for only oil changes.
The truck handles like a dream and is fun to drive. I've gotten close to 24 mpg on a lomg trip and expect to get more than 25 with adding a tonneau cover and replacing the stock air cleaner. The service manager stated that I would see an increase in power from the I-5 after 5,000 miles and I did. MPG increased too.
The front ABS is quick to engage when braking hard on wet surfaces. It takes some getting used to. Other than that, I recommend the Colorado....read morehide

- everything but one
I bought My 4 wheel drive crew cab inline 5 as a demo with 13000 miles and I can't find anything to complain about. I get on average 20 mpg, it is really roomy and comfortable. and with now 50000 miles still runs like a top. I highly recommend the colorado to anyone that is not looking to tow heavy things....read morehide

- 19 - 20 mpg have almost 32,000 miles - runs like new.
- no complaints no problems with my 2004 Colorado 4wd
I am very happy with my Colorado. I can haul 3 dirt bikes in the back and it handles well on the beach at Polihale. It has become a very popular truck on Kauai.

- Looks nice inside and out.
- 10 to 11 MPG if that, city, about 15MPG highway. GM tranny.
2005 LS 4X4 extended cab. Only about 1500 miles on it. Says I should get between 17 and 22 MPG, but I am only getting average of 12 MPG to maybe 15 MPGon highway. Dealer says nothing wrong with it. I'm sorry but I don't care how new the engine is, the milage is way off. Others have reported the same problem with the same answer from dealers of nothing wrong. Trading this gas hog in for something else non GM.
Auto transmission also takes like 5 miles to hit high gear when its cold outside and it sits over nite....read morehide
