after 25 years of driving ford trucks i bought this one with some trepidation. my current ford f-150 has 224,000 miles on it and is going strong. when the company i worked for was bought by GM I was able to get a huge dicount on this truck. so i bought it. for a full sized truck, the ride can't be beat. MUCH smoother than dodge (ugh!) or ford. gas mileage much better than either as well. recently had it in serious snow/mud while hunting off road. handled and performed very well. stereo really kicks butt. i never thought i would use the onstart, but i was wrong. its a nice feature.
since this my first chevy truck i am holding out on how well it will hold up over time. this truck has all the options which concerns me some. more gadgets mean more things that could go wrong. so far so good. i won't have the complete answer for .... oh..... another 10 years or so.
this truck gets the acid test this weekend on a planned elk hunting trip deep into the mountains of CO and WAY WAY off road. my ford has been in there many times. it will be a good benchmark for the chevy.
