2002 silverado with 58000 miles. 1st week after i baught it had to have a new water pump. 37000 miles had to replace left front bearing / hub assembly ,$250 parts. 55000 miles right front bearing / hub assembly, another $250 in parts. 34000 miles, worn out steering wheel vinyl covering, also window regulator in pass door broke. In the course of 58000 miles I have also installed the 4th alternator in this truck $220. Getting readt for the first brake job and all 4 brake rotors are wearing out as fast as the pads! estimated repair cost with oem parts $1000 to $1200!!.The money I have saved by buying this truck at a yr end clearance has more than been spent just trying to keep this junker on the road. All kinds of parts that one should never have to even think of wearing out have had to be replaced. This truck is bankrupting me. As far as operating costs go, this is the most expensive truck to drive that i have ever owned.
