We've had our truck for two weeks. We get compliments everywhere we go on what a nice lookin' truck it is. The ride is nice and smooth - nothing like my father's 3/4 ton. The seats are comfortable. The rear seat might be a little cramped for an adult or older kids, but if that's the case, you should go with the crew cab. Someone posted that the interior is dated and cheap. I think the interior of the Chevy is far superior to that of a Ford. Sit in each one, and just gently knock on the dash. The Chevy sounds solid. The Ford sounds hollow and empty.
Chevrolet has a terrific stock stereo system. The Bluetooth feature that automatically links to your phone is amazing.
Suspension and steering are tight and feel sturdy. Overall I highly recommend this truck. The only drawback is that it is rather pricey, but then..... you get what you pay for....read morehide4 out of 4 people found this review helpful.

I just purchased this truck two weeks ago. I traded in a single cab because I wanted more room. The only thing I don't like about it is it tries to hesitate when I slow down. I don't think this is normal. I am going to check with the dealership. Other than that I love the truck.
It suits my needs perferct....read morehide2 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

I'll start by saying I replace my pickup every 3 years as I put about 40000 miles per year on for work. This truck never lets you forget you are in a truck. The front suspension is rather soft but the harsh rear suspension makes for a choppy ride. I realize it is a 3/4 ton but there needs to be a better balance between the front and rear. It does handle much better than the 2009 Silverado half ton I drove, with much less body roll in the front.
The 6.0L gas V8 has strong power but also an appetite. I drive primarily on the highway and get between 11-13 mpg. The engine has a continous exhaust drone that can become tiring on longer trips. Compared to the 5.3L this engine gives up earlier in the RPM scale but still pulls 5000 RPM's with ease. It is however much rougher across the powerband. The 6 speed automatic is harsh shifting especially out of 1st gear. Despite having all those gears it often times finds itself in the wrong gear and hesitates before it downshifts.
The interior is quite dated and has a cheap feel to it. The driving position is quite cramped for me and i'm 5-9 160 lbs. The large center armrest encroaches on my space, plus the tacky vinyl covering on it causes armsweat. The dashboard also has quite a few squeaks and rattles.
Overall I am rather disappointed in the truck. I switch back and forth between Chevy (or GMC) and Ford every 3 years and don't care which I drive. I will say this generation truck is much better than the previous GM's but it lacks the refined feeling of the F150....read morehide4 out of 5 people found this review helpful.
