- fuel economy, price
- rough ride
I have a 2005 Chevy Aveo with 90,000 miles and on the highway going 60mph I get between 40-43 mpg---pretty impressive, I think. I paid $11,000 for the car. I am getting my monies worth. I have a 90 mile rt commute daily. BTW--I'm still on my first set of brakes--and probably have another 20,000 left to go on the orginal brakes. This is a car with manual transmission. I love my Aveo! I don't have to pay $23,000 + to be green....read morehide

- Fun to drive. roomy inside and great A/C and gas mileage!
- Manual door locks, no fancy stuff, just basics.
I drove it as an Enterprise rental and was very pleased. It isn't fancy, but it is roomy inside, with a powerful A/C for New Orleans' steamy weather and it's fun to drive.

- 40mpg/plenty of room for a 450lb 6ft 1inch guy even!
- not much room in rear seat
Wow, I love this car, being a 52 yr old 450 lb guy I have more room than in my large company VAN! I have the rear hatch which makes it great for tossing things in. YES it is sluggish, when compared to 300 hp engines we are used to, yet back in the 60's and even 70's this car would have been in the middle of the road as far as power! We are simply spoiled on power these days! My son whom had a more sporty car....loves this one also...and wants one himself!..We have a 2005 model and have not have had any problems as of yet putting over 40k mileage on it and driving to georgia from Ct in it and back. One said the sterio wasnt great... I find that funny. It's the best sterio I have ever had!. The same person said it was too sluggish getting on the highway....and I also have not found any problem with thay even with over 300 pounds of cat litter in the trunk and me being 450 lbs driving!.....I also find no problem with the ac....again thats just me but egads for the low price I paid for this ($10,999) I could NEVER in my dreams have wanted anything better! My only problem is they should just take out the rear seat and make a larger hatch ...I find rear seats to be useless....and my son simply takes his out! Almost 40mpg ....no problems...and less than $11,000? find something better? I doubt it!...read morehide

- Its a great car and great on fuel
My sons car is a 2004 Chevy Aveo, Its been a very dependable car never had any problems out of it.Is made well A jeep Cherokee backed into the back side door and it hit hard but the door only had a big dent in it nothing major . We have never had to take it in for any major repairs its a great car for adults and young drivers. if we had to buy another car for gas miledge it would be the Aveo again.I think if you"ll try driving one or looking for a safe smaller car for your child or childern this is a safe wounderful litlle car.Testr drive on and see...........read morehide

- Amazing fuel economy, stylish looks, low price, great warranty, great sound system.
- Acceleration can suffer but that's not why I bought the car.
I bought this car for a very good price and have been very happy with it. It rides pretty well for a car with such a short wheel base. The LT's come standard with a 6 disc cd player with MP3 jack and a premium sound system. I just got 40 MPG on the freeway recently and my wife driving it in heavy rush hour traffic got 35 MPG. It is a stick shift and shifts smoothly. Acceleration lacks but we didn't buy it to be in a hurry and accelerating faster doesn't get you anywhere so we are very happy with its performance. It accelerates quite well when you only give it a little bit of gas, faster than my other V6 Blazer.
I would highly recommend this vehicle with a 100,000 mile warranty for 5 years. It has been a great car and looks so much better than the Toyota Yaris, I can't believe people buy that car.
Hope you enjoy the comment.
The leather seats are much more comfortable than the cloth I though, super comfortable and in the LT only cost $250 to be installed, if you get the LT, well worth it....read morehide

- Roomy, OK car
- slow pickup, floats at high speeds, weak AC, noisy
this car is for city driving and not for highway. The car is unstable and floats at speeds above 65 MPH. 40 to 60 MPH is about 6 seconds, which can be dangerous merging into Highway. Noisy.
Expect gas mileage of about 26 on the highway because you will have to gun it to merge and keep with traffic. Note GM does not give you the MPG.
AC is weak, and will not keep you cool on hot days. Radio is BAD. So expect to shell another $200 to replace it....read morehide
