I actually have a 1SS stick and a 2LT auto, both with the RS package. The 1SS has 8000 miles, and the 2LT has 18,000 miles. No problems to date. The city gas mileage in the SS is 18-19, and the 2LT is mid 20's. The cars handle like they're on rails. I highly recommend the RS package. It really adds a lot to the looks of the car, and the 20" wheels / tires make the car handle exceptionally well. I prefer the 6 speed stick - but you'll need to get a $25 aftermarket shift-kit, otherwise the manual transmission will lock-out 2nd and 3rd gears if you rev-out first gear - forcing you to skip 2nd and 3rd and shift into 4th gear. Also, there are no dipsticks on the manual or automatic transmissions to check fluid level. There's another, more complicated procedure to check fluid level. Get the 3-volume service manual to help sort out all the technical stuff. It's a couple hundred dollars.
