- Oh my god performance!
- Dash vents get stuck and poor rear visibility.
Purchased As New
Just passed the 40,000 mile mark on my 2008 Cobalt SS. This car outperforms anything in the compact car class under $40k and is a pleasure to drive. The SS package is definitely worthwhile, as the brakes, steering, handling, and seats are all upgraded. At less than 3000 lbs, the car is as light as anything out there and with 260 hp, the power to weight ratio is phenomenal.
As advertised, I get 30 mpg traveling at 70 mph. While the AC vents are annoying, the car has never required any extra service other than a bulb replacement.
I can't understand why GM didn't promote this car more effectively. Now they are giving you the Cruze and its astounding 138 hp. Really?
