- Good gas mileage, smooth ride, fun to drive
- having paint chipping issues on seat rail and outside of car
Purchased As New
I have the LT because there is a clear difference in the pick up from the LS. I hestiated on this due to the turbo being expensive to repair. But I'm happy I did. There have been a couple of times I think it may had hestiated but over all it drives and handles well. It also has great breaks. On the same token it is a new car and this is to be excepted.
I can see the cushions wearing out cquickly due to not much padding. Something I had not noticed prior to because this is my first new car in 18 years!
The interior of the car is nice. I DO NOT like the meshing on the seats because it makes it easy for crumbs to fall into or sand being I live in FL. So prehapes the sand will take care of the lack of padding before long. The rails on the seats (rails where the seat slides back and forth) is already chipping! NOT happy about this at all. And serisouly have had the car 3 months and only moved that seat 3 times.
I'm going down from a van but the leg room is decent for a sedan. My husband is 6"7 and as long as he moves the seat back all the way has enough leg room. This does though elimante all room behind the passanger seat leaving only room for one or two to sit in the back.
I love that the seatbelts adjust so I no longer have the seat belt rubbing against my neck! YEAH.
The back of the vechile is surprisingly very comfortable. I love that the seats fold down so you have more room for the trunck when needed. Lots of extra pockets to store stuff. One on the dashboard, not deep enough for glasses but great as a catch all that keeps things hidden and from sliding! Nice little pocket on the side in the middle on passenger side.
I really do not care about all of the electronics or onstar. Wish that was an option and not already installed in the car. The radio has ok sound but nothing grand. Actually my old car had better sound. The speakers in teh cruz are weak and can easily be blown.
Love how the stearing wheel adjusts. Lots of fun stuff on the inside.
Outside it looks clean and due to moderen gas mileages and everything being electronic it looks like most cars out there. But I like it. On the negative the paint job is chipping already and I've had to have it reparied once already. You can easily scratch or leave impressions. Not good. I do think the car is over priced.
Basically it is a luxury car from 15 years ago. Better priced at 15K not 23K.
