The car is an excellent value. For just over $15k the car is well equipped, gets good mpg, 26-28 around town and 34-36 on the highway at 70 plus mph. I have had no problems thus far. It is quiet inside, with decent comfort and room. The rear seats fold down 60-40 adding utility. The clutch and 6 spd manual transmission are both good and operate smoothly. The only complaint I have is with the recall on the engine splash pan under the car. GM has the dealers just cut it away jaggedly with a sawsall or jigsaw thus opening the bottom to the elements and increasing drag. This was done to minimize the chance of spilled fluid starting a fire. I think it could have been done better. Also, the AC condenser is prone to damage from stones. Really loving this car! What I like most is the MPG which has been averaging about 41. I consider that excellent for an all gas engine. It's stylish and roomy for it's size. The trunk space is huge! Smooth ride and a smooth shift for a manual. Acceleration isn't top notch but there's plenty to get you safely onto the freeway. Chevy makes great cars and this is no exception. I have a '99 Cavalier with 198k miles on it and it still runs great. I'm confident this will last just as long....read morehide
