- Pros
- Good looking car. Large trunk space.
- Cons
- Engine problems. A/C smells when accelerating. Driver seat uncomfortable

I had purchased my Cruze 6 months ago and it has been 6 times to the service dept.. The latest was when the engine hesitates when accelerating from stop and sometimes dies. The engine light does not go on and the service dept. says nothing is wrong with this car. It only happens when its hot. It is still in the shop and I traded it in with a huge loss and bought an import. The car was getting below 20 mpg with the 1.8. The engine lags coupled with this auto 6 speed. Performance and Reliability is very poor. I suggest people stay away from this car until engine and trans can be refined...read morehide

Awesome car. I traded a 2005 Dodge Stratus SXT for this 2013 Chevy Cruze LS and I've had it for 4 days. It's still early but I put 430 miles on it and bought it with 33 miles. I love driving this car. Very smooth, quiet ride. I feel the manual is pointless in some cases but overall I'm very happy so far. I plan on following the maintenance schedule and plan on making this car last 10+ years....read morehide

I had expected this car would be about as comfortable as a Malibu or Impala. Wrong! The front seat bottom has ultra thin (3 inches) of padding. And it's rock hard padding. So after 5 minutes of driving you are already starting to get a sore butt. The tires are so wide and low profile that the ride is busy and abrupt and noisy on coarse road surfaces. All this means the car is exhausting to drive for more than 20-30 miles at a stretch. The Toyota Corollas and Hyundai Elantras I have rented were like limosines compared to this Chevy Cruze LTZ. General Motors is really going downhill again because even the luxury Buick LaCrosse I rented fairly recently was not as comfortable, quiet and refined as past big Buicks have been....read morehide

- Cons
- non so far

All I can say is I wish I had of test drove one sooner. Man is this a nice car and this coming from someone who has a lot of vehicles since age 16. How Chevy can fit all these features for the price is beyond me and you would think it would lack in other areas but so far I can't find any. This car rides and handles great. It is very quiet and is very comfortable. The interior has a premium feel to it and like I said has a ton of cool features many that come standard. I have seen some reviews complain about the horsepower which I will be honest was a draw back for me but let me tell you this car has a lot of get up and go! I have no complaints and I am use to a V6. If you are in the market for a new car and are reading this please test drive one it will surprise you....read morehide

One of the best cars I ever owned. All leather interior, very comfortable, great styling. Someone posted here that their Cruze has no manual transmisson. Not true. One of the fun aspects of the Cruze is the dual clutch transmission as in mine. Transmission can be switched from automatic to manual for a fun ride. No, it doesn't have a clutch, which is a plus but, yes, one can shift gears and even downshift. What's not to like about that? Every once in a while I switch to the manual for a fun ride. I have the turbo eco engine. It is comfortable and rides smoothly and has plenty of power and great styling. Add to all that, it is reasonably priced. Thje biggest plus---Made in America!...read morehide

2012 Cruze Eco is the best new car I have ever bought. I bought the car 10/29/11, and as of 3/16/13 I have over 33500 miles on it. The only things it has been in the shop for is oil changes, and tire rotations. It could use a little more power, but I bought it for fuel mileage, so no big deal for me. MPG by the way is about 39 mpg overall since new. I live in the DC area, so I drive in a lot of traffic. Filled this morning on the way to work, and averaged over 50 mpg, (by the trip computer) in light traffic. The trip computer tends to be about 5% optimistic, but even if the "error" is 10%, still getting over 45 mpg. It will drop when I drive in weekday traffic, but see I any where between 35-42 mpg per tank so I am most pleased!...read morehide

If you are reading this after seeing best cars then you need to read this. The Cruze RS model does not come close to getting the window mpg. Best you will get is about 21 town and 29 highway. The window sticker says 26/38..lies !!
The transmission on the RS is jerky between 23 and 27 mph.
The wind noise is so bad you are not sure if your window is up or not while driving on the highway...with the RS model.
The Cruze LS model does somewhat better on mpg. However the wind noise is terribe at highway speeds. Finally this car has NO back seat space at all!! Honestly my 10 year old kids had their legs pinched cause of no leg room. Do youself a favor and look past the estics appearance and find something else. Mine has been in the shop 4 times with less than 6,000 miles That should tell ya something. I wish I had my Toyota back!!...read morehide3 out of 25 people found this review helpful.
