- High pressure tires ride rough, needs more engine power
Purchased As New
The car is an excellent value. For just over $15k the car is well equipped, gets good mpg, 26-28 around town and 34-36 on the highway at 70 plus mph. I have had no problems thus far. It is quiet inside, with decent comfort and room. The rear seats fold down 60-40 adding utility. The clutch and 6 spd manual transmission are both good and operate smoothly. The only complaint I have is with the recall on the engine splash pan under the car. GM has the dealers just cut it away jaggedly with a sawsall or jigsaw thus opening the bottom to the elements and increasing drag. This was done to minimize the chance of spilled fluid starting a fire. I think it could have been done better. Also, the AC condenser is prone to damage from stones. Newer models have a shield.
