This Car is the biggest peice that i have ever seen. More problems than a fiat! And that should round up the chevy line up as well.

- Lots of interior room, great stereo, quick
- Engine to noisy, A/C loud, Like 10-14 MPG and not 19-25 as claimed!
Purchased As Used
Myself and my wife purchased this car used with 8k miles on it. We loved it at first, we got around 22mpg, about 6k miles later it dropped to around 12mpg. The Engine is so loud after hitting 35mph, sorta like a loud whistling noise. And when the A/C worked " it stopped working after 40k miles on the car" it was very loud. we'd have to yell just to hear eachother talk! If I knew these would have been issuse. We would have bought a Toyota Rav4... much faster, larger inside and smaller outside!...read morehide

- LOOKS GREAT!!
- GAS MILEAGE
i LOVE MY NOX. i BOUGHT IT IN DECEMBER '04. i HAVEN'T HAD MANY PROBLEMS, JUST THE DASH RATTLES AND THE GAS MILEAGE IS NOT SO GREAT. MY HUSBAND HAS AN AVALANCHE AND MY NOX ONLY GETS ABOUT 1-2 MPG BETTER THAN HIS AVALANCHE! WHATS UP WITH THAT?? OTHERWISE, A NICE VEHICLE.

- Exterior looks nice, Very roomy on the inside
- Radio dont play as loud, when you shut the car off it clicks constantly
I just bought my 2005 Chevy Eqinox in August of 2005 and it has been to the dealer 5 times already for problems, my car already red-lined and over heated, I had a new thermometer replaced because it was broked from the get go, leaked antifreeze twice, had all 4 of my rotators replaced, a front end alignment and a brand new radiator. What in the hell is wrong with this picture?? Can I say LEMON?? Chevy basically told me to kiss their butt and that is what my warranty is for. Little do they know I am already talking to an attorney. I hate chevy now and hope that I can get this SOUR LEMON out of my face. I am totally hurt by the way I have been treated. I had 2 rentals already and if this car breaks again, that is it. Chevy will feel my wrath. I dont reccomend an EQINOX....read morehide

- Great styling and lots of room for our Golden Retriever. With the back seat beingmoveable it makes f
The only thing we do not like are the yellow air bag stickers on the window visors..but I'm told they are the law.

- plenty of room, good looking suv, plenty of power
- back seats make it hard to see out of, have to get used to using side mirrors
I get good gas milage from my Equinox. I get 23 mpg every time I check it and that is city use with the air running. We researched and looked at different suv's and we loved the Equinox best. To us, it is more than worth the price we paid. It handles well and has a lot of room in the front and back. We do not regret buying it at all. It looks good and we are always getting compliments on it. It rides really well and it is a quiet ride also. Would recommend it to anyone....read morehide

- Good Looking, roomy
- Terrible, Terrible Gas Mileage, blind spots
Very, Very, Very disappointed with the Gas Mileage. Agree with others that GM lied about the gas mileage, listing it as 19 and 25. It is more like 14 and 19. Also, very unhappy with GM in response to their misleading Estimated fuel economy. Would love to see a group effort in contacting GM and causing a chaos with them and this most definite problem....read morehide

- Fun to drive with my family on road trips.
- Paint, leather seats, sun roof, rear headrest
Overall I am somewhat happy about my purchase of my 2005 chevy Equinox. Some minor problems already. Paint is comming off on window buttons. Leather seats are already wearing out on sides. I am totally blinded on lt and rt side of front windshield. The rear head rest are rediculous and I can not remove them to possibly see better. I think the wortst design on it was the low storage area below center arm rest. Mine gets soo gross and I can never get my drink of out cup holder without arching arm in odd position. And it is semi difficult to reach seat controlers on side of seats. I have so far NOT had any problems with my 6 disc cd changer or leaking of windows but I will knockn on wood that I don't....read morehide

- Looks, XM radio & stereo system, decent fuel economy, comfortable ride
- Blind spots from headrests
I have had my Equinox for a couple of weeks and have been very happy so far! Right now I have 1,300 miles on it and think the fuel economy has been pretty good. I averaged 24 on one trip, and about 21 and 22 mpg on other other ones. This was on the freeway with the cruise set on about 77 miles per hour and the air conditioner on. Not too far off the claims that the testing made! In town I have been faring about 16-18 with the air conditioner. I also realized that when the low fuel light comes on you have approximately 3 gallons of gas left.
I love the look and feel of the car and I get lots of stares when I drive it. I have had many compliments in person too. The leg room in the rear seat is spacious if you move the seat all the way back. I find the quality of the stereo to be very good too. I love how the volume adjusts when you accelerate and decelerate.
So far I am skeptical of the negative reviews I have read on here because it has been what I expected. I really hope that I continue to be happy with it because it is my first new vehicle purchase. Thanks Chevy for making me a satisfied customer....read morehide

- Looks of the exterior, cargo space
- cup holder, 6 disc cd changer, the odds and ends falling apart
I am very unhappy with my Equinox. I bought it on 9/11/2004. I traded in my 2002 Dodge Stratus R/T that I LOVED but decided I needed something bigger to make things easier for my job. When I saw the Equinox at the dealer ship I thought this is a good looking car for a reasonable price...so not thinking I bought the vehicle right after I test drove it.....I WILL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!!! First month went well but then after that everything seemed to go wrong. My manufactured 6 disc CD changer stopped working, the cheap cup holder in the front snapped when I put a 20 oz soda bottle in it, took my car to the carwash and when I got home the CHEVY emblem was gone, the back wiper was loose and hanging up side down when I got home from work one day, problems with the starter, leaking in the back 2 windows, and the GAS MILEAGE SUCKS!!! I am going to trade in my Equinox for a HUMMER H3 once I hear the reviews....very unhappy with this vehicle...read morehide
